After lining up a 3 wheel scooter I talked my dad into going to Hershey again this year..... he'll be 89 next month. He's not really sure he wants to use the scooter. I told him he could at least use it to get from one field to the other. We're in the Chocolate field, looking for anybody that would be willing to let him park the scooter at their spot for an hour or two if he wants to go at it on foot for a couple rounds and then go back to the scooter. If you could help out I'd appreciate you giving your location. Thanks for your help.

I attended the Charlotte Auto Fair for the first time last April. I was amazed at how many people were using the rental 3 wheel and 4 wheel scooters. And they were being used by all ages, and not just for handicapped or mobility impaired. Charlotte is a gigantic show, so I rented one, and it made a huge difference in being able to see the entire show. I'm 69, and I would never have been able to navigate all the swap fields without it. Had I been walking the entire show, I would not have had enough time to see it all, and at the end of the day my legs would have been extremely sore. The speed is variable, so browsing was easy, and they have an ignition key, so just take it with you if you want to stop and see a booth in detail. It allows you to limit your walking to where there are things of interest, and saves time as you go past booths that you may only have a passing interest in. Encourage you dad to take advantage of the scooter!!!!

David, indeed the MTFCA would love to have you dads scooter parked there for a while. We plan on having several Ts there. Cosmo, our golden retriever, will be making his second appearance as well and would welcome having his ears rubbed. Don’t forget the Forum meeting on Wednesday.

Thanks for everyone's generosity! He still gets around great, but last year after about 4 hours of walking he got a little tired (who doesn't). He would ask everyone he saw on a scooter how it was working out for them. We'll take some of you up on the temporary parking..... depending on where we are at what time. Thanks again.

David. At My son's insistence! " I don't need the Darn thing" I rented one at Greenfield Village last year and was glad I did. Made getting from point A to B much faster, parked the scooter close by and walked through the Historic buildings and houses.I didn't think I needed it but it made for a much more pleasant trip plenty of walking even with the scooter but didn't wear Me out. and My Son didn't haft to wait on Me to catch up all the time. Without the scooter We wouldn't have been able to see half as much. I Hope to make it to Hershey one year. Hope You both have a GREAT time.
