Gents

I am trying to piece together a set of 1926-1927 "Original" Rocky Mountain Brakes. As pointed out by Larry Smith and others, they are totally different to the reproductions ones available now that are copied from AC Brakes.

I have most of the bits but am missing the folded flat strap the goes around the axle housings. This folded piece acts as an pivot anchor point for the cable pull mechanism. This and other levers prevent the bake band lever from moving sideways when the cable is pulled. The cable is running on an angle running towards the front centre, above the front of the tail shaft.

Attached is a photo of the Rock Mountain Brakes and the part I am looking for is circled.

If anyone could help me with dimensions and location of this bracket, please let me know.

Any help appreciated. If I can help with any dimensions of the parts I have, please also let me now.

Thanks for all your help Larry

Mark
