What do you think about trimming the blades on small metal fans? I'm thinking that if I try an 8" blade on my project and it needs to be 6 1/2 or 7" and I am careful to remove exactly the same amount from each blade, and dress the cut edges all will be well??? I suppose I can check the balance like my dad used to check lawn mower blades?

I'm not taking about fan blades for a T.
