Just finished another Perfecto. It will go under a 27 roadster so I had to install a 26-27 backing plate on the Perfecto housing. It came out good. Still need to make a shifting rod and repaint before installation but, far as I know, it the only 26-27 Perfecto in existence!

LOL

Thanks Glen, I couldn't have begun my Perfecto adventures without your help.
By the way I came across a 1928 court decision where Ruckstell was unsuccessful challenging Perfectos manufacturing another planetary auxilliary transmission claiming it violated the license granted by Perfecto under which the Ruckstell was manufactured and sold.
I also learned that the Perfecto made their money by receiving royalty payments from buying patents. They were not manufacturers. According to the court in the above case, Perfecto received about $300,000 from royalties from the sales of Ruckstells. An interesting case.

Sorry, Mark, I should be more careful. I thought it was Glen who posted. Thanks for the comment though. I'll find the link to the case if anyone is interested. It gives a lot of history on the relationship between Perfecto and Ruckstell.

Richard: I guess that's something you just had to do? Have you any data on the last year the Perfecto was made? I'm guessing 1922?

I don't Larry, I'd like to know how many were produced. Here.s the link to the decision.
