My wife and I went to the Syracuse Antiques Show this morning. Found part of a home made magneto tester. Nice Hoyt Magnetometer.

Don't think was home made. Bet there was or is a box on the underside that held the glass jars for the line voltage drop part.

Just my guess, but think that is a homemade replacement face cover (can see remains of two hinges) for a Stahl Rectifier made to recharge the Ford magneto.

Note the label under the knife switch on the right "STA..." RECTIFIER

And the cute use of a Ford coil box porcelain standoff for handle on the make and break knife switch!

Maybe someone dropped the Stahl case and wrecked the cover with the gage and its switches and made a new one?

Yes, there are two hinges on the top and a latch on the bottom. Ha ... yes, I just noticed the coil box porcelain handle on the knife switch.

Mark: Was there much other model t relevant stuff at Syracuse? Local tv is advertising that antique show but none of the video pictures anything that wasn't made last week in China. Nice find. jb

Tons of antiques but a lot of Christmas stuff because of the date. I suspect the TV crew gravitated to that. Only one other T piece ... a wood battery box (that fits in the outer metal box) but no one is using the type of wet cell battery they used in the T era.
