wow
Yeah, just WOW.
Latest Fire Victim news: Dead down to 85, turns out 3 folks were all the same person; missing 11 now.
David Dewey: My Son(the one who worked in Oroville)
Eric that has a home in the Lyme Saddle Estates was lucky, it burned right up to the back side of the property, as far as he knew about a week ago nothing was gone there.
Bill, I've heard that too. One of my friends who I was told lost his house, turns out it's the only one standing in that area. I don't know if that's lucky or not! However, another friend who lives high on a hill on the far side of Butte Creek Canyon lost everything but his house, including his freshly restored Porsche (taken him years to do it) and his complete machine shop and other stuff, altogether about $450,000 of uninsured items.
David Dewey: My niece live in Magalia. She and her husband are survivors, and they were lucky- the house on each side of them burned and the one across the street also burned. They have been stuck here in Redding and will be for about 2 more weeks.
The last we heard from Eric is that they cant go back in because of the lack of a working sewer system. I can imagine what what the Refer smell like because of bad food. They have been staying in Colusa with friends as far as I know.
Have a great day and with Christmas getting close Hope You have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Bill,
If they haven't already Don't open the fidge or freezer. Strap them shut and haul away. They will be toxic and most likely beyond cleaning up.
Have the insurance company buy them new.
Just my two cents.
Glad they came through.
Has anybody heard from the Atherstone's? I haven't heard anything from them for a very very very long time but remember my Mom saying they were in Paradise.
Larry I asked me niece and her husband what they will do about the Fridge- as they said it is to big to get out of the door. They will have to take a door or two off and run for the their life. He said that hopefully the power will come on and all the stuff will freeze and they will be able to bag all the bad stuff and the take it apart.
I will have to ask my son what they plan to do.
They live near Paradise and they lost all the power and there are now in a small trailer in their front yard. Time will tell!!
