Hi. I'm looking for direction on how to search the forum for previous postings. I'm looking for a discussion on the narrow nosed engine pans and when they were used. I recall discussion on 7 vs. three rivet...
It was either on the forum or classifieds some months back.

I generally use Google to search. Just type in your desired search and add mtfca at the end of the string.

Mark Herdman has done several excellent threads about the timelines of things like frames and crankcase pans.

One thing that is rarely discussed is the front motor mount. There are two styles in 1913. The 1912 style which was used in early '13, and the '14 and later style which was used later.

I have pans around here to take pictures of, but I hate taking pictures. Here it is: The early front mount goes around the hole in the front of the pan. The later version does not.
