What is the correct length of the bolts that hold the engine block to the pan? 3/8 x 1 1/4 s.a.e. (fine thread)?
Forgot to mention the reason I'm asking......I put all bolts and fasteners in labeled containers, then a friend came over to help straighten up the shop. Haven't seen them since..........
Got it! It finally occurred to me to do a forum search and I found my answer. Also discovered that cotter pins are not really necessary...ordinary lock washers will do the job.
You're starting to tread in murky water starting the lock washer cotter pin debate.
Lock washers are fine on a driver and were in use later on T engines anyway.
