What is the best way to install front perches and insure they are in the correct alignment with each other? Thanks again, Bill

Fit drill rod pins ~12+" long in the perch bores and make sure they are perpendicular to long axis of the axle and parallel to each other as you tighten the perches. Good time to check axle for being straight and true before you install the perches.

Alternatively, with a true and rebushed front spring and new or unworn shackles, loosely assemble the spring in the perches and carefully tighten in axle while maintaining spring/shackle/perch alignment. Best, jb

If the holes in the axle and the shank on the perches are clean they should just drop into the axle. I brush on some anti-sieze to make sure they'll come out later if necessary. They'll line themselves up once you attach the spring.

Perches should be installed with this boss toward the rear of the car.
