Nada- just waiting for weather like this...
Go back to bed !!!
It's -10° F here right now but we are looking forward to a warming trend over the next 4 months. I won't try to start a T for a couple more days.
Back to bed sounds good to me.
Rich
I looked at it this morning.
checked that the de-humidifier was still working before I came to work, it has been humid around here for the last couple of weeks.
Watching Perry Mason.....
Waiting for the temperature to get above 25 so that I can install a new carburetor and other goodies on the old T and of coarse test them out in the snow.
Tested out the 1-18 air conditioner ! Sunny and 79°.
Anyone seen these ?
Picked up some parts in NC over the weekend and he has a ‘15 Depo for sale with them on.
Sorta looked at it! LOL It's foggy damp cold here in Portland Or.
Drove it! No snow right now here in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada!
Snow/rain/drizzle mix but drive my Touring everyday because Model T's are the only cars I own. The Coupe needs some TLC and I wish it was available for driving this time of year. Just got back from the grocery store and I always have people comment on my cars especially this time of year when I'm out running errands in cold snowy weather.
Pulled the Holly G off of my 15 and have the Grose Jet soaking in MEK.
I hope that this fixes it.
It rained last night and its a really cold 45 degrees here in Tucson.
Jeff Perkins asked about the box on my 25 so I did go out and snapped a few.
I am only going to post one right now, just don't feel like going thru the hoops to resize them all right now.
Took it out for our annual trip around town stopped at TSC and picked up some treats for my co-pilot. It was a balmy 39 degrees about 31 degrees warmer than last New Years day at 8 degrees. Had a heck of a miss checked it out when I got back to the shop and had no! as in Zero compression on #3 I think I stretched another valve. Still running two piece valves, guess I know what I'll be doing come warmer weather. Sorry no pics this year but here is one from last New Years day. Jim
I chased down a poorly adjusted clutch on Henrietta. She needed a new L shaped piece on the linkage. The clevis and pin were good. With the correct setting on the bolt on the handbrake cam, I now have a car which is much less prone to creeping.
87 degrees forecast for Sunday. I may take her on our milkshake and cherry run.

Same thing as December & November..... Not a damn thing!

Partly sunny around 70 here today Only one thing to do to start the new year Go for a ride to start the year off. Got a lot of waves along the way so all enjoyed seeing us out. Have the generator off and will re build inside as weather turns on us and have it ready for spring. What a day !!
Cut out a hole on the top of the cowl that was rusty thin so that now it only has one hole and not a half dozen holes. Used my own spray wire welding technique to add mass to thin metal before running a bead all the way around the patch metal. Undid the vise body clamps to finish the job on the top side and the vise snapped open on my pinky, creating a new kind of pinch hole. Will run a bead on the underside before grinding material back down on both sides.
Re-installed the Holley G on the '14 Touring and went for a test drive - me thinks the float might be a smidgen low - slight upgrade with full throttle - felt like she was starving for fuel.
I cleaned out the gas tank and lined it with por15, bent a new fuel line, installed a new commutator harness and fan belt, fabricated and mounted a battery holder, changed the oil, put in new spark plugs, rebuilt a Holley G and am learning how to tune it just right
Today I spent 4 hours in the Virginia DMV office to get my 1926 Va tags re issued to me. Also took a one hour wait on the phone to Richmond but in the end they did it so now I have 26 plates to match my truck !!
Pulled my 96 S10 out of the shop and parked the 21 back under cover. Had to replace the head, starter and fuel pump on the S10.
Straightened a warped exhaust manifold. I'll do a couple more for my own use and sell the rest.
Repaired a tire leak. There was a split pin in the tire casing, somehow. No sign how it got in there but the tube wasn't enjoying it much.
Then I drove it until i got sunburn.
Bought parts, lots of parts, from Hank.
GOOD STUFF, Maynard!
Thank You Hank! Nellie is going to look GREAT and run just as well, when we get done with her.
Was a balmy 51 so I DROVE IT!
I was fortunate enough to trade a few treasures, one being a very nice 26-27 torque tube, for a very nice looking high radiator.
The one in the car needs a little help and now I can get it repaired at my leisure.
I might relocate it to the garage that has heat to replace it in.
Gotta love the barter system !!
Beautiful day, so I went ahead and did the swap or 2 cars a tractor and a 4 wheeler...they all started !!
Got the top down and put the T in my house garage to swap radiators sometime this winter.
Nice looking flat tube, guy put a new one in his after a Joe B overhaul.
Received my Missouri title for my 26TT. Was able to keep the original Indiana title dated in October of 1926. Made me happy. Allen SW Missouri.
I finished blasting the main hinges for the 8in1 project!!! 5 hrs today to do 1/3 of hinged parts and a bunch of nuts and bolts. Primed and ready to install.
Did a run with our T club into the Adelaide Hills. I took Henrietta and my brother-in-law. The barbecue lunch was great, but the cherry milkshake and two boxes of fresh cherries at the cherry farm were even better.
This is the first longer run in Henrietta. Once I learned that she is much more responsive to a little manipulation of the timing lever in the hills than any of my other T's, she performed admirably.
Still learning.

Allan, I am curious, what are the buck boards on your profile? Any photos?
Vern, Can you tell us more about the wire-spray welding technique. Any photos of your project?
John, buckboard roughly translates to your pickup. Because most are of timber construction, buckboard is quite appropriate. There are photos of Henrietta on some previous posts. I don't know how to direct you to them. She started out with me as a traytop. I made sideboards and tailgate to make the tray more usable.

(January) I've been watching the RF tire on my Fordor slowly go flat. Have to pump it up one of these days.
Gas price dropped to $1.91 per so we went to the beach. (they opened up WAWA, Circle K,and a RaceTrack gas stations within 1 mile of each other and all in the same month, so they started a mini gas war) Diesel for my big truck fell all the way to $2.32....Hope this keeps up
Gas at $1.69 a gallon des $1.91
I stripped, derusted and cleaned a Ford NH that I recently found in a pile. It still needs a lot of work but is progressing nicely. I needed to plug the passageway ends and found that a brass #10 wood screw was about the right size. After removing its head I chucked the screw in the drill press and used a fine file to add a slight taper to the end. I tapped them into the holes and cut off the excess. I'm debating whether I should fill the small rust pits in the throttle end of the bore with JB Weld. I read where that will give better flow characteristics but I worry about a chunk breaking off and getting into a cylinder.
Mark, you can turn an 8-32 bottoming tap a little way into those passages and fill them with little set screws that can be removed with a hex wrench for cleaning.
Yesterday, Monday, was just about a perfect day around here. I had a friend visiting from Tennessee so we fired up my topless 26 touring car and rattled our way down to Goodson's strawberry shake and vegetable market and picked a half-flat of strawberries. The way I like to pick 'em is right off the shelf in their store. Saves all that bending over in the berry patch.
Nice little drive on country roads and the old junk Ford performed fine. Back at my place I was able to demonstrate about five free starts for my buddy.
Free starts are one of the most charming things a T Model can do. You guys who've switched to distributors don't know what you're missing.
Steve, I had planned to use set screws (which I didn't have on hand) until I found some leftover brass screws in the barn.
Almost done building and hope to start soon.
WOW! Look at all that bling and billet. What sort of head is that Chris? Jim
(Message edited by tfan on January 08, 2019)
Nice work Chris! How about a picture of the other side? What kind of a head is that? Like those SU Carbs.
Picture as requested. I will start another thread as not to clog this one up about the head.
Chris, have you got this beast running yet?
