COLORADO/WYOMING TOUR #3, JUNE 2009
ITINERARY
There will be a drivers meeting and dinner on the evening of the 12th of June -Friday. This, as well as other events, will give the participants an opportunity to meet old friends as well as make new ones.
Day One, Saturday, June 13th, we leave Loveland and travel to Laramie Wyoming. We will go to the Wyoming Territorial Park. While there we will be displaying our cars inside the park. Our visit will include the pioneer buildings, ride an original Wyoming stagecoach, and tour the Wyoming Territorial Prison, where Butch Cassidy was a guest. Day Two, Sunday June 14th, depart Laramie and have lunch in Centennial, Wyoming. We will travel over Snowy Range Pass, elevation 10847. This pass was voted the number three scenic by way in the continental U.S. On this tour we will be traveling east to west arriving in Saratoga, Wyoming for the night.
Day Three, Monday June 15th, leave Saratoga and travel through Riverside and Encampment Wyoming. At Encampment the road starts up Battle Pass, elevation 9873. This pass was named after an Indian and Trapper Battle. Both sides took casualties. The Indians finally withdrew after three days. The road continues down to Baggs, Wyoming and on to Craig Colorado for the night.
Day Four, Tuesday June 16th, leaving Craig we will travel to Steamboat Springs for the night. There will be plenty of time in Steamboat Springs for a gondola ride to the top of Werner Mountain.
Day Five, Wednesday June 17th, leaving Steamboat for Winter Park our travels will take us over Rabbit Ears Pass at 9426 feet. At Kremmling we will try to arrange a barbeque in the town square at noon. Later, there will be a complimentary evening cheese and wine tasting party at the motel in Winter Park.
Day Six, Thursday June 18th, leave Winter Park and travel through Granby and Grand Lake. In approximately 10 miles you will start your climb up Trail Ridge Road to 12,183 feet. This road has been voted the number one scenic by way in the U.S. We will be traveling from west to east down through Estes Park to Loveland for the final banquet. There are many small shops to look at in Estes Park.

June 20-22, 2008 at MACON MISSOURI—the ILLIAMO MODEL T CLUB will be hosting a tour. There will be an early bird tour Friday. We will drive the beautiful back roads of Northeast Missouri. July 11-13, 2008The Black Canyon Classic Car Club is having their annual Car Show this year in Montrose Colorado July 11-13, 2008. The weekend will start off Friday Night at 6:00 pm. on South First street for a small show and cruise around town. Saturday Morning will be the Main Show at Columbine Middle School and will run from 8:00 am. - 3:00 pm. Saturday evening we will be at the Star Drive-In for a double feature Movie and another small Car Show starting at 7:00 pm. Finally Friday Morning there will be a surprise cruise.  Registration for Saturdays Show will be $20.00 early registration or $25.00 Day of Show.
