A stock of these unique collector's items, plus the original sales literature was recently found in my Grandfather�s barn who was the company's president. Although previously offered as NOS display antiques, many people are now using the Crystal Timer on their Ts with great success. Unfortunately, most of the timers require minor modification before they will work as originally designed. It was found that due to age and oxidation many of the pot metal support rings had swollen as much as 1/16th inch and required minor modification to fit into the engine recess. Although easily corrected with emery cloth or a bench grinder, we are now offering to those that want an operating timer rather than a display timer an additional option of timers with the ring machined to the correct diameter. This modification will insure that the timer will fit and operate in the same fashion it did when it was new. A participant of the recent 1000 mile Natchez Trace Tour ran the Crystal Timer and had this to say about it� �The crystal timer performed beautifully! I am sold on it from this point on. It is far superior to the roller timer I have been using even considering the modified roller I have on it. The crystal timer ran perfectly. I did not experience any misses or need to clean it.� A participant in the recent West Coast Speedster Endurance Run had the following to say about the Crystal Timer. �Ignition wise, the Crystal Timers worked flawlessly. I believe that our car ran without as much as a single sputter including the time when we forgot to switch from battery to magneto ignition. There were many long pull hills and the car lugged right down and grunted right along. Honestly, I can not imagine how a timer could work any better.� The modified timer will cost $42.95 plus $7.00 S&H and NOS antique display timer in an unopened box is $39.95 plus $7.00 S&H or one of each for $80.00 plus $8.00 S&H. Although you may see other ads offering the Crystal Timer, they are either used or resales from this original stock. She is 95 years old, with an older restoration, but still looking good. Engine rebuilt by machine shop in Escalon in the early 80's, very few miles put on engine since then. Johns aluminum pistons, chevy valves, adjustable tappets ( I think that what they are called, I'm not a machanic), oil splash caps, and kevlar transmission bands. Took her to Colorado in the mid 80's for a Model T Club national tour, since then she has been setting in the shop. I started her a few months ago, but I think the carb needs cleaned, she started, but ran on the rough side. Has good operating Rucksteel Axel, spare tire with lamp, side lamps (never been lit) and running board rack. I'm getting too old for a hand crank antique auto, so selling for $8,500 or possible trade for or towards an antique or classic car that has a starter. James USA - Thu Jun 13 00:46:17 2013 Car for Sale: 1924 Ford Model T Chassis. This is a complete chassis that just needs a body to finish it. The chassis has been sandblasted and painted; the motor has been gone through with new aluminum pistons, rebabbited rods, etc. It has a Ricardo Head, water pump and an early brass Harrington carburetor that is very unusual. It is supposed to run very good and very strong. It has new Kevlar bands in the transmission along with GM 400 clutches. The wheels and rims are very nice and it has new Excelsior Tires that still have the nubs on the tread. The tires are cracking, but are only 5-6 years old. It has very decent front fenders that with a few hours of body work should be very nice. It has very straight running boards and new Rootleib splash aprons and rear fenders. The hood is very nice and straight, the round tube radiator is in good condition, although I have never had any coolant in it. It has a new gas tank. The firewall and steering column are installed on the chassis as is the wiring harness, ignition switch, light switch; ammeter and lights, etc. I bought a new battery for it that is included. The muffler and tail pipe are unusual as they are all one piece and the muffler is over 3 feet long. With only minor work, it should run and drive. The only reason it is not running now is that I have had problems getting the coils to work properly. It has excellent compression. I had it running just briefly and then the coils or timer malfunctioned again. The person that had the car was planning on building a Depot Hack body for it and never got it done. I know the person that did the mechanical work on it, he is a retired tool and die maker that has built several Model T motors. Over $2400.00 was spent on mechanical parts and that did not count any labor. The chassis is very nice and would make a great Depot Hack, Speedster or a restored chassis to put your body on. $4500.00 or near offer. Email me and I will forward photos to you. This truck is a project and is currently somewhat disassembled. We have started the restoration but still have a ways to go. The frame and rear end have been blasted and primed. The engine is an original 1926 that is complete and rebuilt by "Texas T's". It has never been run since rebuild. It has a super nice set of 4 wood spoked wheels that all are in excellent condition. All rims are there except the 2 rear outer rims. The cab will need lower patch panels. The bed is straight and complete and VERY hard to find with the original "Ford" script on the back apron. This is a very rare truck and very hard to find in this condition. We have all the parts to reassembled the truck and any aftermarket parts for this truck are available from a wide variety of resources. I'm selling this truck for my dad who is not physically able to work on this project anymore.
