Wednesday is a 1.5 hour, 30 mile tour originating from the Model T Museum and traveling north and east of Richmond and ending at Today’s Harvest (ice cream, homemade doughnuts and shopping)  located on US-40 east of Richmond and near to most hotels at the US-40 and I-70 exit.  This tour takes you north along the Indiana/Ohio state line through back country farms and east into the Whitewater East Fork river valley areas.  You will be ending the tour on the east side of Richmond very close to the hotels that are near the US-40 and I-70 interstate exit.

THURSDAY, JUNE 1

Connersville, IN

Visit the small town with historic Hoosier charm.  Drive by Connersville’s most historic sites, such as a covered bridge, the 1890 courthouse, and the Elmhurst Mansion. This is a full-day tour.

The Thursday tour is about 65 miles and takes you south of Richmond along the Whitewater river through some of the state’s most picturesque tree lined roads to Connersville, Indiana where you visit the Fayette County Historical Museum to view their car collection which includes: McFarlan, Leington, Empire, Cord and Auburn unique models and a great Americana collection.  There are many choices for lunch including an old fashioned drive inn or a recommended sit down restaurant.  Returning north from Connersville we tour backroads to Centerville where we have the option to visit some antique shops.  US-40 then takes us back to Richmond and the Model T Museum. After the tour, enjoy pie and ice cream in celebration of Henry Ford’s birthday, as well as the Historic Richmond Depot District First Friday event within walking distance from the Model T Museum.

Carillon Historical Park
