Tours of the Model T Museum can be designed to fit your group’s specific need and interests or to relate to current education topics.

If you would like to view specific vehicles or objects in the museum, or if your club members or students will be given an assignment related to their museum visit, please let us know ahead of time. You are also welcome to schedule a pre-visit appointment with a staff member to discuss your planned activity.

Requests for group visits outside of normal operating hours are sometimes possible and are considered on a case-by-case basis.


If you must cancel your scheduled visit for any reason, please notify the museum by phone call as soon as possible.


It is important to prepare your group by reviewing the museum visit guidelines with them.

Group members will be greeted and given a brief introduction to the museum Most groups will be greeted in the museum gift shop. This is subject to change depending on the size of the group and nature of the visit. Please check your tour confirmation message for more information.

  • Pens and markers are not to be used in the exhibits
  • No drinking, eating, or chewing gum during the museum visit.
  • Non-flash photography is permitted within the exhibits.
  • Large coats, bags and umbrellas must be placed at the admissions desk.
  • We ask all visitors to not touch or lean against objects or displays within the exhibits.
  • We reserve the right to ask a visitor who is not following the guidelines to not participate in the tour and to remain near the museum entrance until the visit is over.

To quickly accommodate large groups, please make one payment for your group on the day of your tour.

To accommodate large groups, docents may divide visitors into separate tour groups. Teachers and chaperones must be present during a class visit and are expected to assist with activities and student behavior as needed. We request at least one adult present for every 10 students.

Designate a group leader or chaperone who will meet with docents upon arrival to review the tour plan and any logistical issues.

Plan to arrive no later than 5 minutes of the scheduled tour time. Any group arriving late might forfeit the opportunity for a guided tour. Please call the museum if you encounter an unexpected delay.

School buses may drop off students to the entrance of the Main Building located from the public parking lot. School bus parking is available onsite.

Free public parking is available onsite and on the street.

The museum campus includes two separate buildings.

When requesting a guided tour, please specify accessibility concerns to allow museum staff to plan accommodations. Wheelchairs are available for low-mobility visitors. For visitors who have low vision or blindness, we offer verbal description tours and hands-on activities. Service animals are welcome. Visitors who may not be able to attend the museum in-person can experience the museum by visiting the virtual tour available on the museum main page.
