The photo was taken in 1925 based on number plate. 1925 was the first year of a national registration system replacing the previous county system. The 1925 plates were made in the USA, and as the US law said that states had to be included on a plate the manufacturer supposedly would only supply plates with NZ included! 1926 the manufacturer saw reason, so NZ appears only on our 1925 series.
