Interesting idea. They seem to be around each of the four wheels individually. They would probably help a lot in soft sand, as long as the sand wasn't deep enough and soft enough to sink more than about six inches (about 15 cm). I do not recognize the license plate. Was this in Australia or New Zealand? Whereabouts? The body of the touring car appears to have the panels like the American built touring cars had '15 into '21. Do you know if it is a USA or Canadian body? Or one of the "Southern" built bodies?
