Wow, that was a fast ID, I looked at a few accessory oil fillers on line but none matched this so I wasn’t quite sure what I had. I’d like to use it on my speedster so I’ll need to hunt down the funnel part that’s missing.

This lid/cap came with some Model T parts I picked up a while back. I’ve had a lot of T accessories over the years but I haven’t been able to figure out what this lid’s application was for. The lid measures 3.4” in diameter.

Frame rivets and fender.

Dallas nailed it as being earlier. I found a photo of a 1916 Premier and it is most likely a Premier running gear. I’ve cropped some details... the front frame horn, the four rivets on the side of the frame and the fender.

Tim, your hubs look to be 2 piece, is that only on your rears? My hubs are one piece but maybe that’s because they are fronts. Looking at your photo it doesn’t look too likely to be able to modify a front into a rear. I suppose anything’s possible but looking at your hub it appears offset for the br...

Here’s a photo of the back of the hub on one of the Spranger wheels. It has what appears to be a speedometer gear pressed on and bolted in place. It doesn’t look like a typical Stewart Warner speedometer gear unless it’s a gear for some other function?

I’m not sure if they were all designed or built specifically for the Model T but I did take one of these Spranger wheels and it mounted on a T front axle spindle perfect. I know it’s a long shot but hopefully I’ll be able to locate enough Spranger parts to complete a set.

Thanks Tim and if you still have any of the lugs or bolts it would give me something to copy. Even the rough hubcaps would be a start, I could get castings made from them. You’re right, the hunt is half the fun and looks like I’ll be hunting for a couple wheels!

Purchased these 2 wheels at an auction a couple weeks back and have been unable to id them. They look a little like Hayes but have 6 mounting lugs instead of 4 and the outer hub is threaded to accommodate a 3” hub cap. Thanks for the info. Do you think these are Shaw or to heavy to be Shaw? I’m not familiar enough with Shaw to know if they made gears with a flange. Your right that they don’t even look like they were barely used. 7 tooth would probably increase your pulling power too.

These gear hubs came off of a Model T rear end I picked up with some other T parts. I don’t know what tractor conversion unit used these but they look a little like Shaw but I’m really not sure. There are casting marks on each hub G2067. They have a little wear but don’t look like they’ve been used ...

I’m with HPetrino on this one. I compared an early “17” TT housing with one of my late ones and there appears to be no difference in size, right or left. Is it’s possible that Rod needs a pre “26” T housing and typed an extra T in the listing? But then which housing... right or left or both? Somehow...

Wayne nailed it, I didn’t think of the idler gear having both a straight cut gear and helical cut gear.

It looks like it has a straight cut gear in the unit. How would that match up to the angle cut gear of the generator? Unless I’m missing something...
