See this diagram for proper perch orientation. The axle should lean back to give the proper caster angle. The nuts and studs that clamp the wishbone ball should be wired together, do not use cotter pins because the studs could still back out. Oh Yes we have proper lean. I think it's leaning back be...

The next thing we discovered was the low pressure hose on the Super Bee was leaking. It was hard as a rock so I had her change it. She was using a long screwdriver to get at the clamp.

Re: Getting Rattles Back On The Road

Well Look who's back after her first semester at The University of Virginia. I was having a bit of difficulty figuring out that you have to get the tightness on the King pin just right so the spindle is not too loose and not too tight. We also had to sand down the nuts to get the hole lined up for t...

The Imperial needed a new Fuel Pump

So my daughter came home from College and I lined up some work for her. Ha!! My 64 Imperial needed a new fuel pump. The last one I put on the car was in 1991!! Not bad. My daughter found this book

Not sure if this is a widely known book in the Model T world but my daughter bought it for me at a used book store. It was published in 2008 and she got it for 10.00. Not bad.

If the magnet didn't go through the hogs head, you are lucky. Now all you need to do is replace the magneto. Be sure to check all the magnets for cracks so the others won't break.
Norm
Lots to check. Yes he was lucky. Once it comes apart we should be able to see if anything else happened.

I've got a mini split LG heat pump. I live in VA, so the winters are not that bad. Issue I had was that the garage was always cool in the summer and the AC didn't kick on, so I had humidity. I put in a dehumidifier and the problem was solved.

I used deck stain. I figured that the reason would be to make sure that it didn't rot out so the next guy or gal didn't have to fix rotten wood. If deck stain works in the rain it should be good for the wood you'll never see.

I've got some intake and carb parts that came with my T as well as the plats for a starter button. How about $20.00 for the intake and carb parts and $5.00 for the starter bracket. Plus the ride of course.

Once you think you're done, check every nut & bolt for tightness and properly cotter pinned. The wishbone ball studs need to be wired together, hopefully better than the attached pic. If you use cotter pins there, the studs can still back out of their blind holes. Same thing with the two lower U-jo...
