Unless you drive it and warm it up good (20 miles or so), that looks about normal.

First be sure you’re on the compression stroke...

Before you take the starter off...
Be sure you have good clean connections at the battery, ground at the frame and the proper gauge wires are used from the battery to the switch and to the starter and the ground cable.
6V does not like a smaller gauge wire like used on a 12V system.

What Pat said, and how fresh is the engine will be a factor also....
I would say anywhere from 60psi to 80psi is good, as long as all 4 are close to the same reading.
Be sure to do a dry test and a wet test with a little oil in the plug hole to see if the rings are sealing, if the dry reading is low.

Re: Sheared Pinion Key - Can I Reuse Drive Shaft?

That driveshaft has had it, I would suspect the pinion gear is also. The fit of the taper is as or more important than the key to keep it from spinning and shearing the key again. The gear should lock down on the shaft even without a key in place and not rock....

Re: Early 1920s Canadian Model T Touring

Early 20s is rather vague...23-25 would be a slanted windshield and before 23 is straight.
And any difference in a Canadian models could be pointed out.
I have both styles for US vehicles.

Re: Steam in the Exhaust!

I would suggest still checking the head with a straight edge. Also run a bottoming tap in the bolt holes and blow out with compressed air. Also be sure all the bolts are the correct length and all tighten without a gasket in place. Copper spray sealer on a copper head gasket and torque to 45ftlbs. R...

Re: Steam in the Exhaust!

It does not take much coolant in a cylinder to create a lot of steam.
Without pressure in the cooling system, depending on how large the leak, the coolant loss may be small.
Sure sounds like a head gasket leak opened up from the flushing. Or [hopefully not] a crack in a port.

Simmons intake manifold...A or T ?

Found this manifold mixed in with an A heater manifold. It lines up with the ports on a T block.
Looks like a zoom zoom updraft carburetor would fit.

It’s too cold to walk out and look, but I don’t think those are the correct stanchions. I don’t remember a 3rd hole in my 24, and they look longer.
The 2 sections of frame should almost meet.
