Alan, more concerned with the brass and material getting into Babbitt and the quick wearing of the drums. This stuff feels like 60-80 grit sandpaper.
Would you use this material in your transmission? Trying to understand pros and cons of using this material with brass woven in.

Strange Transmission Brake band material
I’m helping a club member with her car, and found the transmission brake band appears to have real brake linings. It was her father’s car and wasn’t driven much, I’ve checked the drum and found no burns or cracking, some light wear. Going to put Scandinavia material on the band. Has anyone seen this...

Norm, I’ve been rounding up parts snd pieces for about five years. Finally took a week and assembled this, will build a wood box on the back for flowers. Then a water system out the front of the radiator to look like bullet holes. It’s a labor of love and will put a smile on my face for years to come.

Henry Ford told a newspaper reporter that he intended to reduce the price of the Model T to $360, and he expected to b...

If you’re wanting a good free neutral, the first place to address is to replace the low speed notch and cam. While you’re at it, replace the reverse and brake cams to. I use standard model t disks and always rebuild the hogshead and this has made it easy to setup a free neutral.

Any motor oil, it takes on a rebuilt front axle assembly overnight to lubricate the spindle bushings top and bottom. You should see oil spots under the spindle bolts or the lubricant isn’t lubricating the bottom bushing.

Re: Covid struck again
I’m also getting over a bad bout of Covid and didn’t get paxlovid after testing positive. Was told by local ER to stay home and continue self treating, taking care of myself and drinking lots of water. I took Tylenol severe cold and flu, it worked on the cough and kept me able to sleep off and on, g...

Re: Stevens front axle reaming tool
George, I have the Stevens frame made by Jack and reamers reproduced by Dan, I have repaired over 16 front axles. Tool and reamers work fantastic.
Be aware Dan has no plans currently on having anymore reamers made, hopefully you have the reamers if your only looking for the frame.

Re: Painting Wire Wheels
If the current paint is in good/decent condition, I would use a scotch brite pad and a buckets of water with dish washing liquid to scrub them down. Rinse, Dry and spray painted with Rustoleum professional gloss black. No need to spend $$$ sandblasting them If in decent condition.
