WTT early 1926 headlight for 16-25 headlight

I bought this 1926 headlight for the lense but I need an earlier version for my speedster. It seems solid but there are few holes rusted through. The reflector looks fair. I’d like to get one in about the same condition. The part # is T86490 on the base. Email: wlkma9@gmail.com

I noticed the tubing was broken where it goes to the horn. I thought it would be a good time to replace the 1915 bracket with a 1914 one. The H1 is the same as the G with a different float/float valve arrangement. The venturi, idle pickup tube, jet and bores are the same. After a year of the S, they went back to the H1 design but with a simpler and more reliable float valve. You can modify the needle and seat from a GM Quadrajet and m...

I’m not sure about the thermostatic wire. There is a choke spring there at the top. Then there is a lever that a wire connects to that regulates how much heat is to be directed to vaporize the fuel like the Holley accessory manifold for stock T carbs. Heating coil is on the regular Simmons.

Re: Non-Starter vs Starter Equipped Coil Box

That’s how mine is but the dimmer coil keeps the mag from burning out the headlights. It’s not used on the battery headlights. I thought he wanted to run on mag but have battery powered lights.

Re: Non-Starter vs Starter Equipped Coil Box

The coil box should be an easy find, the combo light switch and dimmer coil may be more difficult. If you want to run the lights from a battery you could wire that switch to the battery instead of mag and not use the dimmer coil but you’d need a battery horn because one wire from the mag goes into t...

Re: Non-Starter vs Starter Equipped Coil Box

The internals of the switch send the electricity to the coil box. Inside the switch functions just like the coil box mounted switch, the headlight function is inside the switch but a separate part. The earlier cars 1919-21 still used the coil box mounted switch with a combination horn button/light s...

Re: Model T Capabilities on Hills?

I know you’ve already addressed the fuel starvation. My friend has a driveway as you described, long and an uphill grade that gets steeper as you come to the end. My 21 got to where it wouldn’t get to the top. The tank I bought off eBay and I cleaned it out but I guess more stuff came loose after a ...

Re: Dimensions of J&B 66 mirror

The mirror diameter is 6”. Iit’s held in place by a lock ring. There is a screw that slides in a diagonal slot and 2 pins the same diameter as the screw sticking out 1/16-3/32” engage a slot on the other side. You twist it to lock it. I can’t figure out how you get the mirror out. It’s loose but doe...

Re: Dimensions of J&B 66 mirror

The diameter of the mirror is 6”. I can’t figure out how to get it out. It’s held in place by a sliding lock ring. When you twist it around it tightens in the mirror then you lock it with the screw. I need a mirror for one myself, here’s a picture of inside of it plus the ring by itself. I’d be happ...

Re: Can someone tell me about these wheels?

The rear wheels on a Model 91 Overland have the outer flange made onto the hub and the brake drum serves as the backing plate. I never thought about the spokes being reversed so I went out and looked. Front hubs are like T hubs.
