it has a slight bend either from hitting something or pulling something. I guess the axle should be strait. In the book it shows tying a string from king pin hole to king pin hole, I can do that to correct the curve. I have a 20 ton hope that will do.

Hope to get some help. I have a model T Ford front axle it has a slight curve to it, accident or design?

This is Steve, the post helped allot I will try the pipe trick to remove the bushing.
Looking at my drive shaft tube I noticed that the old bushing has already been replaced with a brass one. I also noticed that the oil hole was never drilled.

Does anyone have a source for the small springs in the shifter rods?
The springs that provide tension to the ball bearings to lock the shifter rods in place?
Springs I found are to large to fit or to weak.

Thanks for the inspirational words.
I agree, I've seen worse gears than mine for sale on ebay.
Not sure what to make of the price difference on the bearings.
Some are asking almost $500. for one set of bearings.

I have plenty of time to pick and choose the replacement parts.
But I have received a lot of junk off e-bay.
Hard to trust people when they don't have the courtesy to wipe the grease off
the part before they sale it.

Thanks for the tips, but to late for me.
I've have installed the Scandinavian bands. Got them with no instructions. So I soaked them in oil and installed them
like I would install brake shoes. No hump in the middle. Hope they last me.

Quick Question,
My engine has no magneto installed, anyone know if I can/should remove the magnets off the fly wheel also?
I'm concerned about any weight imbalance. It would make the main bearings carry less of a load.

I have some magnetic tape, never thought of using it.
The tape is used on magnetic advertisement signs.
Drained the oil today so I'm going fishing.

Thanks for the replies, I'll do more fishing with a flexible magnet. I will be draining the oil and use a mallet to possibly work the washer to the bottom. I'm running a distributor so I have no magnets to pick up the washer. I don't know but I wouldn't think normal oil flow would be powerful enough...

Hello, I was hoping to get some advice on a wire wheel hub that has a crack on the outer bearing surface. I'm concerned on the pressure
