Re: WTB brass steering wheel nut
Probably exact copies: I just prefer using originals if possible. Personally, I think the really old brass was better stuff than today’s brass. I cannot prove this, but even after both are polished I think the old brass has a different shade to it. Again, can’t prove a thing, just my preference. I w...

Hi Jon; thanks for the information. Unfortunately, due to lack of storage area 18’ would be too big for me. Even 16’ would probably be too much as well, but could possibly work. Ideally, 14/15 feet would be best.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, and I mean no offense to anyone, but I was always told that one should never tow a vehicle on a single axle trailer because if, while going down the highway at 55 mph and one of your tires blows out, it could cause a lot of damage to trailer and T; any thoughts on that?

That’s awesome John; thanks! Do you also happen to have a pair of decent black headlight rims for a ‘16 T?

WTB Black 1916 lamp trim
I’m looking for black tops and doors for the 1916 model t side lamps as well as black headlight rims. The bodies of my side lamps are fine, I’d like to swap out the incorrect parts for black parts but if I have to buy the entire side lamps so be it.

Re: Oil lamp tops
Very interesting! The lamps I’m referring to also have no patent dates or names on the bottom of the oil fonts. The car, which is a December 1915 build, (which I know is a 1916, and supposed to have all black lamp trim) is an unrestored, original touring car once owned by the late Steve Coniff. He b...

Oil lamp tops
Did Ford ever use unmarked brass tops during the 1915 production era? Would these tops have been replacements?

Re: Duplex universal tire carrier
Interesting, thanks for clearing that up Frank! I was hoping it would attach to the side of the car, since I have a ‘16 touring with Demountable’s and I don’t have the rear tire carrier. And one won’t work on this car because of the tail lamp location. What I really need is the carrier below the Dup...

Is anyone familiar with this particular spare tire carrier? I’m wondering how it would attach to T and if it would hold a Demountable tire?

WTB set of Demountable wheels
Does anyone have a nice set of 30 x 3.5 clincher type Demountable wheels they would part with? A set of five would be nice, but four would be fine too.

Dave, how do you get to the back entrance to Greenfield Village? That sounds like a better plan than driving down Michigan Ave!

I appreciate the offer Darel, but unfortunately I don’t know anyone out that way to bring them to me. Too bad, it sounds like you have some nice stuff!
