Re: Scandinavian linings - no longer made?

The majority of these are original branded "SCANDINAVIA" & I always check them for "smell" as in musty - I don't buy those - these in my stock are all prefect to run. I've collected them for many years. I do have a few sets from the seventies & eighties (way before "tar babies") when they were still...

The cross shaft is the same - the clutch throw-out arm/leg or whatever you want to call it was cast into the late ??? teens - later production was stamped. Some "early" brake lever handles utilized a key & pin.

Yes, the correct spark lead is short ! With both the spark & throttle in the closed/up position, the spark lead will be pointed up & towards the commutator - the throttle lead will be pointing down & towards the carburetor.

The tool retracts the rim at the closure to assist in mounting the tire to the rim - after tire installation, re-setting the legs in a different configuration results in one "jacking" the rim closed again to secure the latch.

That "tool" is spring loaded so you open it, insert the nut & washer then let the tool close - with left hand holding the handle in position over the end of the pedal shaft, spin the knurled segment with your right thumb/finger to start the nut on the threads - quite simple actually.
