Take your time and soak it with penetrating oil. The SPRAY NOZZLE (part 6286) definitely has to come out.....there are some orifices that behind it that must be cleaned for proper operation. I had to use an easy-out to get fuel needle out......destroyed it... but new parts are available. Also make c...

Go ahead and give the neoprene needle a try.......if it gives you problems it is easy to switch out a different float valve with the carb on the car.

If your float is brass/tin you can submerge it in hot (near boiling) water .....if you see air bubbles coming out of the float it has pinhole(s) and should be sealed or replaced. If it is good ...use it. FYI I had issues with the replacement gross jet float valve restricting flow and causing engine ...

Fairly new to Ts and no experience the NH carbs vs Vaporizer. I rebuilt the Vaporizer on my 27 T. I found that the spray nozzle must be removed as there is gunk and carbon that will clog several orifices behind it. If it is a 26 or 27 the MTFCA Technical Drawings link shows shackle to front.
