OT: shaving my Covid beard for charity
All, sorry for the OT post but please indulge me: After 18 months, I am shaving my Covid beard on 8/21. Proceeds raised will benefit the American Cancer Society’s efforts to do early cancer screening. As you may know, cancer did not go away because of Covid. But people did early cancer screening at ...

Good to know but my car never sees rain. I don’t even take her out after a rain so I can avoid puddles. Sunny days only.

1927 split rim help
I am refurbishing a 21” split rim for my 27 Tudor. I have the rim sandblasted and will prime and paint it tomorrow. Planning to buy tire, tube and flap from Lang’s. Any advice on metal stem vs rubber (I have wood wheels)? I’ve also got a rim lock plate and lock screw. Is there anything else I’m miss...

That’s pretty crafty. I don’t want to poke holes in my car but I’m happy to poke holes in my e-light mount. I’ll have a find a creative place or method to get it mounted.

Re: Egypt Garage e-lights
Dan - I like that flashlight mount you’ve got. Any ideas on how to get the license bracket to fit with a vintage plate? I was going to use steel cable through the license plate itself but I’m worried about tearing the plate. Perhaps I’d add a bolt through the plate and tie to that? Or use a hard bra...

Egypt Garage e-lights
For my birthday, my wife got me a set of Egypt Garage’s e-lights for my 27 Fordor. I’ve read a few posts on the board about them not working well, having the unit fall off, and a few other things. Has anyone I’d a good experience with these? Any tips or tricks you can recommend for long loading succ...

WTB: 2 demountable rims for 27 Tudor
I am looking for a couple 21” demountable rims for my 27 Tudor. I’m rolling on “good enough” right now, but that won’t last long and I’d like to avoid a disaster. I need these to be good and serviceable condition (or preferably better). If you have more than 2, I’d consider taking more than I need. ...

Re: 1915 Town Car
Was this a Ford production car? A special order? Or was this a custom production from a carriage maker? I’ve never even seen a picture of a T like this. It seems a bit out of character for a T.

Re: What’s wrong with this picture?
Eido - Yes, there IS something wrong with this picture. The outside rear view mirror seems to be adjusted to look "downward" rather than rearward. I think that’s just because of the angle of the photo. I can actually see just fine with that mirror - well except for the fact that it shakes miserably.

WTB - 1927 WI Tudor paperwork
I have a 1927 Tudor. The car was assembled in Milwaukee and has always lived in Wisconsin. I’d love to find an original sales receipt, dealership paperwork, registration, etc. - anything I can find - for this car. Let me know what you have!
Thanks in advance.

Lever won’t stay put
I’ve noticed of late that my timing lever won’t stay put when I drive. It continuously slips upward, costing me power - unless I hold it in place. But I need my hands for the steering wheel and throttle, so holding that timing lever isn’t very convenient. Any tips or ideas on how best to keep that l...

Radiator noises
Last weekend I installed a new (old stock) radiator on my 27 Tudor. Install went well and I took the opportunity to upgrade a few parts on my fan as well. I also removed the water pump that someone had installed on my T and went back to the stock pipe system. Driving the car several times since then...
