If using a flat bed trailer be careful in using a cover.
I hauled my 28 model A a long distance covered with a cheap hardware store tarp and rubbed the paint off in spots on the fenders.

Isn't the 3 1/2 the width of the tire?
If so the JD tire would work on both 30 and 30 x 3 1/2.

Is this the proper set of top bows for my 1915 Runabout?
There doesn't seem to be a way to attach the wood bows to the metal bows.
The wood bow slides into the metal bow and I would think that there would be a screw holding them together?

Steve is correct.
When you cotter pin a stud you turn it into an un safetied bolt.
I made an off field landing because of two studs that held the rocker stand to the head that had cotter pins.

Is it possible to make the seat material (leather?) more pliable?
I would think that sitting on it in its current condition would destroy it.
If I were lucky enough to have it I wouldn't restore it but clean it up and drive it like it is.

For years I have used Aviation Permatex which comes in a can as a thick liquid.
It appears to be alcohol based as it cleans up with alcohol.
Never gets hard and seems to seal well.
I also use a silk thread between case halves on aircraft engines.

My neighbor and I ruined two tubes today and I ordered flaps to maybe help.
I'm 80 and he is only 60 with mucho strength.

That is definitely a handy wrench. I have an old bent and beat up one that I have been using on my 15's wheels.
It works on the hub caps and the threaded bearings. Not sure what the orifices are good for?
Maybe some one out there can update us?

Not only does it not have the choke butterfly and shaft; but it is missing the clamp ring that holds the choke assembly to the carburetor body.

for cars built before 1928 they use the original sale cost to determine value.
I just registered my new to me 1915 and they decided that the value was as I recall
$260. They did the same thing when I licensed my 1925. I had the original bill of sale for it.

My new inner tubes have a valve stem that is larger than the hole in the rim?
Should I drill it larger or just use them as is.

Since you were able to drill the first hole the area around the hole may have work hardened and you can try
annealing the area with an oxy/acetylene torch.

My 15 came with the front fenders unattached so I almost finished drilling and bolting my left fender on.

While on my way out to get the paper this morning (in the dark) it occurred to me that a lantern battery might be a good source of 6 volts for running the coils in the 15. the 25 has a battery case to confine the batt...
