You can do your own with a black oxide kit or gun bluing kit.
You will need a sealer or and oil finish when done. I’m sure Ford used oil, but that’s just a guess.
It’s very easy.

One manual won’t post.
This is a Fairbanks Morse unit.
Here’s a photo of one at a Ford Factory in use setting up starters and generators.
If you look at the left side of the photo you will see the first version of this tester with a wood legged base.
Ford used these in the factory.

Yes, these coils are very similar in size to earlier coils.
The terminals are also located differently than later KW coils.

Here’s a photo of the door polished out. Being that satin pyroxylin lacquer, there’s not much polishing.

Thank you for looking. I do however believe that those are too wide.
The Ford type was different in shape and the feet went in the other direction.

Yes, it’s very doable.
You will just need to only if the car is negative or positive ground.
That’s really all that’s necessary. The diode just passes current in one direction only.

I just got white smoothies from Universal this week.
I got the Universal smoothies. They were out of Firestones.
They were out of stock on some styles, but that had what I wanted.
They were out of stick in the 30x3.5 tubes with metal stems.

That’s the car as I got it BEFORE being re-restored. They are history.

Thank you for your responses. I do know the car was painted some time many years ago. I talked to the curator and that’s what he told me.
