I have 4 new ones on my car as well as fitting them to another car and as Alan said they are the easiest clincher tire i have ever mounted.

Steve is not only well and home but we were treated to a visit by him at the mtfca board meeting where received a great award congrats Steve.

Don i certainly hope it can worked out you have been a tremendous help in my 26 fordor we talk frequently so you know who I am your work is too fine to not have people be able to see it.

I had a wonderful time and got to put faces with names so glad i went and hats off to the okc club such wonderful people to spend time with.

It is your car do as you wish and as many others have pointed out not one car out there is absolutely correct as it was built unless it is an unrestored original I call guys like that clipboard clowns and could care less what they think but they think it makes them important.

I am making some adjustment in the seat back padding and seat cushions first to get it all in to fit properly at that time i will try it again i could get in i just find the wheel too close but i have not come to decision yet i will let folks know what i do and how if anything.

I have seen wood moulding on top of the doors of modelt tourings i know they were an accessory anyone have any patterns or does someone out there make them.

Keith thank you i thought about the electric shut off valve it would be the best solution i assume the ones from snyders are good ones i have heard people say they get really hot which is why i was reluctant about them.

On a 1927 fordor can you shut off the fuel tank valve if you lit the seat is there enough room between the seat frame and tank to do this

I run the disc brakes from Birdhaven they make them these are not always just a bolt up operation but if installed properly they are great.

Dick i had the exact same issue over forty years ago i was outside mowing my little boy came and said daddy your car is smoking, i have a cut off on all the older vehicles i have just for the very reason you described.

I suggest a 1/2" open end wrench in your tool box and forget about a switch. We dont have battery cut off switches on modern cars but they do have fuses, thats what I would recommend to anyone wanting to improve electrical safety to thier model T, add a fuse, ditch the cut off switch. Looking to buy a langs turbo 400 kit

I would like to buy a Langs turbo 400 clutch kit if someone has a new one they are not using

A lot of T owners who either don't want to fool with getting a mag set right, or want more speed from a lighter flywheel, eliminate the magnets, but use the scoops that are available from vendors to splash the oil around. If magnets are not left, or scoops are not used, the ring gear will no catch ...

My 1927 engine will not use the magneto but bosch front plate distributor any reason not to remove the magnets and lighten the flywheel the crank has dunn counterbalances.

On the clutch which is better the watts clutch or the gm turbo discs. The transmission will have a floating trans shaft.

I got the picture off of the web for comparison and that is the correct length do not know about the real long one however. that said I did get apair from a member here.

The correct u-bolt measure four inches from the inside flat part to the end of the bolt 4tplus inches

The one on the left is longer the correct one measures just a little over 4 inches from the bottom of the inside(flat part) to the end of the bolt.

Y These are for a 9 leaf spring need two the ones i have are for 8 leaf and will not work with the goose neck spare tire carrier

TRD your pictures answered all my questions I have the specs on spring leaf length etc and i now know what the arch should be thanks to all here for your help the spring is a 1927 front spring on a fordor

as the spring sits on a level surface the correct height is as i posted above, would a reverse eye spring be different.

I have a late 27 fordor i will get a picture of it today and some measurements if that will help, This is really interesting if you like mysteries.

Yes they would be square because the windshield frame is square thanks I appreciate it.

Sorry Keith they are the two little retainer clamps that sit on top of the lower windshield frame and retain the glass vendors have them but only for open cars.

I think I can help you message me and i will give you a phone number so we can talk what price did you have in mind and I can get you pictures.

Tracer I do not know why they would be different usually the fordors are the tough ones to get.

Dan you are exactly right it is however that skin will fit the 27 fordor car if you need to re-skin a door ask me how I know.
