This is a 26 I have had in storage for several years. I got it out this week to get it running. Put in a new battery , fresh fuel and it started right up. Good to see it running again.

The gas tank on this is between the Frame and under the seat and bed. Just installed a Rocky Mountain 6 speed and Rocky Mountain brakes.

I was driving at a steady speed and it shut off completely. Restarted on battery fine but didn’t run anymore on mag. I’m just happy it wasn’t the mag that failed.

Mag post short.
Has anyone had a mag short out from what I think is band lining and oil touching the post ?My mag failed and after checking the switch and replacing it found this at the contact point For the post. All connections were good and still no voltage. I cleared that goo away and all is ok now.

Everything is new. Dismantled the car and started over. I had the dash apart to look for a gas leak (26 car) and probably caused the loose headlight and amp wire to be loose. Before I install any new lamps I will test the voltage with the engine running and see if the voltage goes up to 10 or 12 vol...

I think the loose wire at the switch was possibly the problem. The engine was running at the time I tested the lights. I installed the new starter and the battery at the same time so a 8 volt battery was not really needed . The old engine and starter combination turned over fine . The new engine wit...

I did find a loose wire on the back of the head light switch. Maybe that contributed to the problem. I put in a new bulb and it instantly burned out. Burned bulb number 3. Checked the voltage at the lamp socket. 8 volts.

Yes . The new springs were to long. I used the old ones. I also preloaded the bottom spring as suggested. That’s the only way I could get enough thread to start the nut. All good now . Thanks for the help.

Seeing a more clear drawing really helped. The lower thimble didn’t fit the hole drilled in the radiator flange . I had to ream it out. When I got the roadster the hood didn’t fit right . It was sitting up to high. Now I see why. Now everything lines up. Thanks.

Does any one have a clear view or cutaway showing the proper installation of a radiator on a 1926 T ? I have a Ford manual but the photos aren’t clear as to the correct layout of all the Layers of parts starting with the fenders on up to the crown nut.

Thanks . That is what I am worried about . Doing damage to the finish. It’s to nice to wreck it by rubbing through or making things worse with the wrong process or chemical.

Cleaning nickel safely.
I purchased a 1926 nickel radiator shell that was wrapped in rags and then wrapped in duct tape in 1979. The tape caused a stain on the finish that doesn’t wipe off. What product would be safe to polish it out? The staining is just dull areas.

A couple episodes back the owner of the lumber yard sat in the drivers seat as his wife hand cranked the engine without pushing in on the crank . If spun over very quickly but the funny part was hearing the starter crank the engine in the background

By chance a friend of mine has the later modified B head. we set it on my block and the head clears the firewall nicely but the rockers still hit the firewall and the valve cover is also hitting the firewall. I am looking for information on installing a RAJO B head on a 1926 T Roadster pickup. it looks like I will need to modify the firewall and possibly the gas tank to get the clearances needed to install the head.
