There was an old dead one still attached to the ignition when I pulled our grey ‘16 touring from 20+ years of storage in the ‘90s. Keep crankin’, Eric Eric, that’s what...

Thank you for asking Rob! My grandfather William Krueger’s Ford story started On July 25, 1903 (W Kruager) he worked 25 hours for $3.09. William is also spotted in a Mack Avenue plant employee picture from 1904. In the 1906 picture of the Ford Piquette plant employees, William is the (only) pipe sm...

Dan, I use rubber contact cement that comes in a quart can (hardware store). I brush it on the back of the mat then apply the burlap. Trim it when dry. It’s the way the original mats were and keeps the rubber from tearing/cracking.

I always glue burlap to the back of my mats. It helps to keep it from tearing and believe the original mats were made that way.

Wayne, the original wiring is still there but I could not figure out how it got its power. It had a channel in the passenger side pillar where the wire ran half way up to the switch and then up across the top bow to the light. I believe it ran on a battery and not magneto.
