I agree that the times of yesteryear are days gone by as far as swap meets are concerned. The time is coming when antique cars will be less interesting than the later old cars because the later cars from the V8 era onward you can drive more safely and possibly get out on more main roads. Plus the r...

when I was a kid my dad's '15 touring was to me the same age as his plain jane Ford Sedanis to a kid that same age now... Yikes! (And my first car, that 53 Ford Customline sedan, is the same age as a 2 lever 2 pedal...)

Re: Lueders Tx Model T river crossing. 1915?

Of course the absolute earliest it could be is 1917, because of the black radiator. I'm hazarding a guess, using not the car but the bridge and how it's built, to say it was early to mid 20's. As to the bridge - It was VERY common on wood deck auto bridges to have a second course of boards as "tire ...

Dynamic. The rods (and dippers, if so equipped) hits the oil pools in the pan, splashing it to the cylinder walls and internals... the magnets (or dippers, if sans-magnets) literally throw a shower of oil into the oil pick up tube and over the transmission... It's a coal stove - you can see it in the scuttle ("bucket") and shovel. Loads through the "chute" on the side, and the gearing takes a hand crank on the center gear (it's on top of the stove, next to the back of the headlight) to moves the grates on the bottom to clear them out and break up clinker...
