Re: Can anyone identify this Rear Fender? I was thinking late 09 to10, but unsure if its even Ford.

Thanks so much for that info! Im lost on anything before 1912 and after 1915/16. My buddy found it for me at hershey and from a quick pic sent by his wife I thought, "oh! A 1913 fender! I need one of those! I'll take it!" It wasnt until I got to see it up close I thought it may be earlier. But the r...

I added a few pics of the rivet pattern. I always thought they were "square" and not the V shaped like you see.

Evening all.

I have this rear fender that I though was originally a late 09 to 1910. But the rivet pattern has me thinking it may not be Ford at all? Looks about the same size as my 1913 rears. The eye fender iron clamp and the sheet metal bracket look like Ford. A little stumped.

Thats interesting. Some pics I found on the forum (new and old), don't show the needle guide. I wonder if it's an earlier design?

I think ill keep the needle guide carb for the 13 runabout.

Pulled an unknown hub puller out of the evaporust bucket today. I'm unsure what it fits though. It's 2 7/8" diameter from the outside of the threads.

1913 Holley S Carb Valve Seat Differences. Anyone know why?

So I found another Holley S carb in the house, so I have 3 now to look at. I cracked open all 3 to see whats going on inside. 2 have the same valve seat, and the third one has a completely different one. As you can see, it has a guide for the valve needle, whereas the others do not. Is this a later ...

Ya know, I've been wondering about that choke lever being a replacement. And I was surmising the same thing you are, as being from a Holley G. I just hadn't checked today and wasn't going to say much until I did. But, I think it's a possibility since that carb has a new needle and looks reworked. I ...

Re: Differences between Holley Model S 2 Screw Carbs? What do they mean?

Everything is brass, and besides, these are 1913 year carbs, so predate Americas involvement in World War One by almost 4 years. I checked Bruce's book to no avail, and went through the others along with Rodda.. So Im completely at a loss as to why there are these differences in the carbs. Looking c...

Differences between Holley Model S 2 Screw Carbs? What do they mean?

evening all. Seems I have 2 Holley Model S 2 screw carbs. At first I thought they were identical, but now I see some differences. In the bowl, choke and throttle levers, and the 2 screw cover plate. The bowls have a different shape. The cover is thicker on one than the other, and there are differenc...

Re: Bumps or no Bumps Driveshaft Spool for January 1913?

The judging guidelines weren't too clear (I think I have the 7th edition). I will double check later. But for 13, they didn't specify, I think. They use the terms "early" and "late" but I have no idea if they mean calender or model year. I'm more inclined to use the no bump because of that very tran...

Bumps or no Bumps Driveshaft Spool for January 1913?

I can't seem to find any pertinent dates on when the switch from the no bump driveshaft bearing spool to bumped version happens. I have a January 1913 roadster project. I have, what tantamount to being, a 1911 to 1912 2 piece driveshaft with the no bump spool. Has the earlier style ball end without ...

Im working on a January 1913 Roadster build and i have 2 different 2 piece driveshafts. This one is earlier than the other drive shaft I have based on the Judging Guidelines/ Roddas books. Mike,
Definitely no clamps. Original tubes had a "bubble flare" like end. Not exactly a bubble flare, but close. I have an original 13 and 14 radiator that still has the original T and tubing if you need a pic.
