Re: Emergency brakes converted to service brakes

How could something that is sooo slow require brakes?? I would be careful on rear brakes ! When breaks are applied in the rear (unevenly) the car can turn sideways and a roll over will occur. I remember reading on one such accident and it resulted in an ejection/death of the passenger. Just saying! ...

Re: Rear Main Bearing rough/porous

Does a tool exist from the T era for the oil slot for the T. I have the oil well cutter and the spiral oil groove tools for other than T's. Most of the old blocks I have have a simple slot on either side of the hole in the middle.
Please post a photo if a period tool exist.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Wanted, Stevens Rear Axle Stand, or similar

Try looking for a KR Wilson and ask about other brands!
I have one, but find the use to be better for the front Axle.
KRW also and Jack Putman, and Snyder's sells a table top plate that is best for the innards!

At one time we replaced the air with nitrogen gas to improve the pressure drop!
Any inert NON FLAMABLE gas would work!(argon, nitrogen, freon)

You need a SIMPLICITY or Waterbury Rod lathe. For Complete rod reconditioning.
It bores the ID , radius both sides, and makes the figure 8 oil groove.
Good Luck!

I believe that Bernie Long of Bloomington Calif has a Fordson truck.
He was featured on "PICKERS" "Godfather of junk episode"
He showed it tom me once and was boasting that it was the only one.
I replied that if it was the only one it must have been a DUD!
