Identify this car

Is this a pre T Ford or something totally different ? I cropped the picture to show just this car. The copy I have is a show from my hometown back in the 1950’s and isn’t real clear.

Ok, I have black wall tires on wire wheels on my 27 Roadster except the spare which is a whitewall. The reason I got the whitewall was because it was a great price. My question is what can I use to dye the whitewall to black ? Of course I want to use something that doesn’t leach off onto any painted...

26-27 license plate clamps

Are the 26-27 license plate clamps that mount to the headlight bar the same as for a Model A ? I have a set for a Model A but the holes in the original 1927 Tennessee plate are set lower and I can’t attach it.

I’m working on the top irons for my 27 Roadster that need a complete overhaul. I’m thinking of trying the PVC strips for the bends on irons or 1/4” plywood strips. Lots of good info hear.

Dan, my matching numbers Roadster has the manufacturing date of late July 1926 and was titled in 27. It has the zinc around the curtain rod hole. I’m guess since it’s a very early 27 production the zinc is correct.

Is anyone making the correct headlight lens ring these days ? I bought a new set of plated rings and even after grinding all 4 of the little studs on the inside they still don’t fit ! They’ve gotten better but will not twist all the way over to lock into place. I have a black original set that I may...

I just checked the old bows on my 27 Roadster and they have the bend at the end that attaches to the car just as the parcel sets do..so I'd think these are 26-27. I had to piece together my bows to get a full set because as you said, they are expensive ! I have a full set of touring bows but I'll ne...

I have 6 parcel sets of Top Bows that have never been used. Not sure what years they fit...26-27 Touring ?..you be the judge. They came from a 70 yr collection of T parts..some NOS parts. On 5 parcel sets there is some sort of man made fiber wood in one side and the other has real wood "see photos" ...

Thanks everyone..especially Steve Jelf for his diagram. Ok, I got the correct coil to buzz just before full regard but if I pull the spark rod all the way down I get buzzing from #2 coil. I know this isn't right !

I wired it according to the instructions that came with the wiring harness but the color code is totally off from what's marked on the New Day. Tim...no worries glad you posted. My buddy has one on his 24 coupe like that from Langs but I wasn't sure it would work on a 26-27 without hitting the dash.

Nope..the one Langs sells will not work on a 26-27. The pic is of a 26. If its one of Langs someone has altered it to make it work.

How's the best way to install new Cowl Lacing on a 27 Roadster ? The old lacing was held in place with small ring shank nails through tiny new holes made into the Cowl....yes I know that's not the correct way. I'm lost at how to keep the lacing lined up and drilling the hole through it for rivets.

I have the light/license plate bracket in my stash...I always thought it was a 1930's light and not Model T....am I wrong ?

That's easy...most of us don't have a "local bearing store". And if we did the kids running the place wouldn't know how to locate the part.

KR Wilson Mag Tester

I have a KR Wilson Mag Tester that I've never used. It has 2 lead wires...1 on each side of the meter. Does anyone know which side attaches to the Mag post ? I assume the other is a ground ? There are no markings to identify which wire go's where.
