The HCCA tour was a lot of fun and we had a very nice group of cars participating. We did have two cold mornings, Monday and Tuesday to start the day, but later it warmed up. I'll try to post some pictures if I can get the size reduced.

Craig, Below is a link from a previous forum thread with some more info on 1913 - 14 tops. Specifically, it refers to a brass strap that is made from shim stock and runs from the front to rear bow inside the pad and helps keep the top material from tearing when the top is stretched into place. When ...

The green Model T is in the Seal Cove Museum in Maine. It is definitely a 2 lever car and has serial number 326. The first time I was there, I showed the curator where the serial number is located on the early Ts.

It's interesting that it says it has the "lowest registration number of any Model T in the nation". I assume that refers to the serial number, however, the number is not provided in the caption.

The earliest Ts had the serial number located in between the intake and exhaust manifolds. I'm puzzled why this engine has the serial no. on a pad behind the timing gear which was a later location. Attached is a photo of the serial no. location on Model T #326 in the Seal Cove Museum.

Rear Curtain Dimensions - 1913 Touring
Would someone have a diagram / drawing of the rear curtain for a 1913 Touring? I need all of the dimensions to locate the window, fasteners, etc.
Thanks,
Dan Woolf

WTB: Top Saddle Support Arms, (L Irons), Touring.
Want to buy set of good, original top saddle support arms for a 1913 touring car. These are the “L” shaped irons that support the top bows when the top is down. I believe they were the same through 1922.
Thank you,
Dan Woolf

Re: Old Photo - Model T era shop and car
I think the car is a Maxwell, maybe 1913. The radiator shape and cowl look similar as well as the electric lights in the photo below.

Re: Old Photo _ Auto Shop
Les, I thought Pope Hartford as well for the second car, except I couldn't find a picture of one that had the same radiator mounting to the frame and the same shape at the bottom of the radiator.
I also thought the radiator on the third car looks like the picture of the 1904 Pope Hartford below.

Re: Old Photo: brass era parade
After the viewing the picture some more, I believe the car to the left of the Jackson behind the large touring car is a 2 cylinder Maytag. It looks very similar to a Buick, but the radiator and front axle are different. Also, the car in between the Maytag and Jackson looks like a Peerless. Because I...

The car on the far right behind the Jackson looks to be a Cartercar.

Re: 1911 Dash Fillerboard
Thanks Michael. We used raw cherry veneer to cover the baltic birch core. Since we had the original firewall, we were able to get a sample of the original stain, which when matched, turned out to be a black cherry color. Very fine steel wool was used to rub the stained veneer surface, lightening the...

It is cherry veneer over a baltic birch core.

Re: 1911 firewall
Here is a picture of the firewall and filler board from my brother Jim's 1911 T. The firewall is new and was made using the original as a pattern. It has the original brass trim. The filler board was in good enough shape to re-use. It is made from a single piece of wood and is the same length as the...

Darren, can you tell me what style the fasteners are on your car? Are they like any of the three I mention in my original post?
Thanks!

Re: Owners of '13 Ts
Hi Kim, my car is the red one that Otis restored in the mid 50s. It seems to be a pretty authentic car, other than the color.
Can you provide any insight to my original question based on your unrestored '13?
Thanks!

Re: Owners of '13 Ts
Larry, thanks. Were you able to find documentation on the fastener you identified as the correct one, and if so, where? This style is not reproduced, but the other two are. For your information, my '13 Touring is the one that was owned and restored by Otis Clinton. Adam, can you tell me which style ...

Owners of '13 Ts
I am in the process of replacing the top on my ’13 T. It is an early ’13 with an engine casting date of 12/15/12. I have three different types of brass Murphy fasteners on the car. They are the figure 8 style, the oval cast base style and the oval pressed base style. The pictures below show the thre...

Re: FS 13/14 Firewall
This looks to be an earlier firewall than 1913 or 1914 due to the top, rounded corners. On the 1913/14 firewalls, the top corners are "squared-off".

The car in the first photo on the far left looks to be a 1909 Model F Buick. I agree with Rich that the third car from left is a Northern.

Re: OT-Brass Car ID
The car in the background is a Maxwell (possibly 1910) and the car with the rear facing the camera is a Model T (possibly 1910).
