Re: Spitballing a new idea for "Safety Hubs"

Great post Dan. I actually thought about 3 clips on each backplate with 120 degrees between them. I've always favored a quote attributed to Henry Ford " I invented nothing new. I simply assembled the discoveries of other men behind whom were centuries of work"

Spitballing a new idea for "Safety Hubs"

Just throwing this out, I have no need for any nor do I intend to make any. I have made and used the currently available style. They are generally expensive, you need to cut you axle tubes, etc, etc. All that work to keep you broken axle shaft unexpectedly existing the rear end. This idea will only ...

Unmolested, turns freely, here's your chance these don't come up too often in this condition, generally they've been used and abused.

Adjustable Pinion Bearing Assembly Availability ???

My go to vendors (Langs & Chaffins) do not have these in stock and when they'll become available is unclear. Snyders (another go to vendor) does have the "new" assembly (that does not need a core). Question is, am I missing anyone when it comes to wanting to use a "modified original" assembly, or is...

Re: FS-CAST ALUM FINNED 3 AND 4 DIP OIL SUMP CASTINGS

Good price on a high quality casting. If I was in the need for one I'd jump on it. Finding a good older casting is somewhat difficult and when you do they've often been used and abused.

Dom, your link is for Sids in OK. I have used them in the past and have been very pleased with their service. They may have an axle to purchase outright, but generally you send your's to him to drop. It's a real advantage in doing so. You know the condition of the axle you sent (spindle threads, bor...
