For what it's worth the tap appears to be a BSP rather than a NPT. NPT/NPS and BSP threads are not compatible due to the differences in their thread forms, and not just the fact that most diametrical sizes have a different pitch. NPT/NPS threads have a 60° included angle and have flattened peaks and...

If you can't find them, this may help. Find someone with a plasma cutter or water jet. Enjoy

With the safety wire so close to the center of rotation I don't believe it will contribute to any significant unbalance. Just my humble opinion, enjoy. Joe

Re: WTB - Dropped Front Axle

Dom, your link is for Sids in OK. I have used them in the past and have been very pleased with their service. They may have an axle to purchase outright, but generally you send your's to him to drop. It's a real advantage in doing so. You know the condition of the axle you sent (spindle threads, bor...

Re: Front Hub Bearing Cup Inserter?

I had one and sold it! Found that with some patience you can easily (lightly) tap the bearing in, working judiciously around the outside circumference with a brass hammer. A piece of wood prevents you from seeing whether or not the race is going in straight. Just my humble opinion and 40+ years of w...

Pan modification shown. If you look closely at the previous picture you can see where the block is ground to clear the counterweights. Same with the pistons. Enjoy.

Re: Rear Bumper Bracket OL for 26/27 Fordor?

Thanks, I suspected as much, I can still use the "longer" bracket on the Fordor with out any issues other than the bumper will stick out further. It is my understanding that the new "replacement" brackets are the longer version to be used universally. Of course if someone needs the longer brackets a...

Hard to beat that offer, the one I was going to offer has the majority of the original black paint on the outside, but it does have surface and loose rust on the inside needing a good cleaning before it can be used

Coincidentally I just finished replacing the fuel line on my 26 Fordor. By no means am I suggesting that this is the “correct” way but only offering it as an “alternative”. I attempted to use only components made in the USA, not difficult to do but you’ll have to search a little. Most everything use...
