Re: need carburetor help

the gas does flow out the disconnected gas line at the carburetor so, probably dirt or stuck needle valve or dirt. Thanks to all of you for your input.

Re: need carburetor help

As it turns out, I have 2 problems to address. 1 When I drained all the fuel from the carb it didn't refill. options: Try to fix the Kingston, try to get a rebuilt Kingston or change out to a rebuilt Holly. problem 2 compression results don't look good. Piston 1 35 PSI, 2 30 PSI, 3 25 PSI, 4 UNDER 2...

Re: headlights with additional bulb question

You are right Rich.
To what do I connect the top bulb?
Low or high beam or does it matter?

headlights with additional bulb question

I have a 24 roadster that has a set of headlights with a bulb on top of the reflector and a single wire running between them and up to the terminal block (disconnected). This is in addition to the high and low beam bulb. I haven't been able to find any documentation about this setup. Can someone tel...

Re: need carburetor help

I checked the plugs, firing order and timing..all are perfect. gas comes out of the carb drain. opened the spray needle 1 full turn, choked for several turns then checked plugs (still dry). Is the problem in the area of the spray needle or is it something else? should I take it out and try cleaning ...

I have a Kingston L4 carb that is plugged up.
It has gas in the bowl but the 24 T won't start.
How should proceed in resolving this problem?
Thanks,

Re: serial number name plate 1st used?

Thank you all for your input. Especially Dan for the picture of a vin plate from vintage parts. So I got my answer that the plate on the frame rail was not issued by Ford. It's on the passenger's side under the floorboard so it doesn't bother me. I am leaving it because it is the only thing that pro...

serial number name plate 1st used?

I have this 1924 Model T roadster with the serial number plate glued or cemented to the frame rail. It doesn't look like it was from the 1924 era or put there by the factory. Does anyone have an idea as to when this plate was first used and on what vehicle?

Re: 1924 Roadster is it original or a restored?

For those of you who brought up about the Serial number frame plate issue, when I first saw it, I was surprised and I thought it doesn't look like a 1924 item. Relax Larry, it is glued or cemented to the frame. I will start another thread to see if someone can shed some light as to when it was first...

Re: 1924 Roadster is it original or a restored?

Thank you all for weighing in on this subject. They were all great comments from people who obviously know what they are talking about. I wish I knew more about the history of the car. To me, the engine has very few hours on it and I know it was in a museum for the past 30 years. It was registered w...

Re: model T values

Thank you all who responded to my question. You were all pretty much on the same page (it's a cheap investment and the real value of owning a Model T is the enjoyment of driving it and seeing the pleasure it brings when others see it). I believe I hit the jackpot when I recently acquired this Nation...

model T values

Hello, new to the forum, new to the Model T world.
Just trying to get a handle on the value of these historic vehicles.
Starting at the top of the line I see that the MTFCA Museum has a pristine 1924 roadster on display.
My question is, if you could buy it and afford it, how much would you pay for it?
