YES, the headliner is done before you install the top. It is almost impossible to do a good job with the top installed.

When I restored our 1924 Fordor thirty years ago I had the same dilemma. I removed all of the old nails and used bronze monel nails. I countersunk the nails so there was supplicant depth to allow me to fill the alunimum cover strips with alunimum " DEVCON " filler. The fix has lasted all these years...

The Cimorelli Site definately has some Canadian Service Bulletins. I have found that the scans are of poor quality. ( The illustrations in particular. )

I have been looking on the internet at pictures of 1930s prestige cars like Cadillac and Packard. Cadillac seems to be the closest, except for the wood wheels that appear to be on the car in the photo I posted.
