The data plate discussed above is on our car and I have assumed that it was an old reproduction. It has not been stamped as best I can tell.

Re: FJ - Closing In On The Mystery Of The 1904 Ford Model B Designer(s)
Thanks for posting the information above. Things changed very rapidly during this period and our view of the events changes as more information comes to light. It is important to remember that reminiscences from 50 years later cannot be relied on with certainty, even though there is great value to t...

FS - 23 / 24 / 25 One Man Top Irons
This set was used on our car with a boot top cover only for a number of years before we put a top on the car. That is why the wood bow parts are not the correct wood parts - they were just the right length to look OK inside the top boot. The wood will only be included if you want it and pick it up i...

Prest-O-Lite Tank cast brackets
Does anyone know when the cast brackets were first used - were they used prior to 1910? Most period ads don't show the brackets at all. I haven't found the cast brackets in pictures before 1912-1913 but would like to find something before 1910 if possible. Any help would be appreciated - thanks in a...

Re: Straight sided tires
Straight-sided tires were marketed pretty early in the US. They were standard equipment on many brands in the pre-1910 period. Here is a Goodyear ad from 1905:

Re: Old photos - stripping a wrecked 1914 T
I wanted to see if I could find the serial number for the car from data collected for another project. It looks like it is 193353 which puts it into the January 1913 production.

Re: I need help identifying detachable and split rims and wheels.
Note that the 25" rims fit both 32x3-1/2 and 33x4 tires. The 33x4 size is what is available today. Some of these wheels have reversible rings that allow mounting both clincher and straight-sided tires. We have been looking for this size wheels for our 1909 Cartercar project.

I'd like to see more pictures of the '13 top boot to use for our '13 T. I agree with - why make it incorrectly when it can be made as it was originally?

Could you try to post a picture of the spark pattern? If the room is dark, the sparks will show up in a picture pretty well.
