Looking forward to attending.
Maybe a dumb question but what time does the swap meet open to the public on Saturday? I have looked everywhere and can't find the hours.
Thank you

Re: Metal Polish
Bruce,
Thanks for the tip on Blue Magic. I did notice a pretty harsh ammonia smell but didn't know about the long term effects it could have on the brass. I have used Flitz before and it does work great. Brasso is definitely a no-go.

Re: Brush fire on route to Tulare Swap Meet
I live just south of Castaic and drive past there to Bakersfield every day and back. I saw the smoke yesterday afternoon but didn't see anything this morning going north. Probably a good idea to check anyway to make sure it doesn't flair up again.

Re: Tail wagging the dog.
If the load is heavier behind the axle this could cause the swaying. Always put the heavier portion of the load in front of the axle, toward the tongue of the trailer.

Re: 2021 BAKERSFIELD SWAP MEET-BACK ON- PLEASE READ!!
I usually don't wear a mask in open air. I just assume since this is California, it might be required.
I just wondered if there are any restrictions or requirements to attend as it relates to COVID.
I am looking forward to attending. Can't wait!

Just wondering, besides wearing a mask and some social distancing, are there any other COVID restrictions for attending the swap meet?

Stuck fuel shut off valves
In regards to the brass fuel shut off valves that the parts suppliers sell that are attached at the carburetor, I have installed several on my T and after a year or so they become harder to turn on and off until they get stuck. Is there a way to lubricate the valve to restore it to working order? Ri...

Car stopped runnning on magneto today
My 1915 Touring has been running great until today. I always start on battery and switch to magneto and the car runs with no problems up to now. Today, I started and ran fine on battery but when I switched to magneto, the car immediately stopped running. I am going to pull the magneto post and check...

I've been using Champion 25's in my 1915 Touring with no problems. I would like to find a good set of X's just to give them a try.

Re: Replacing Wood Spokes On Model T
I just had the wood spokes replaced on my 1915 Touring by Stutzman Wheel. They did an awesome job. Very helpful and friendly and at a great price. Call Mr. Stutzman at 330-897-1391.

Natural finish on wood wheels
Just received back my re-wooded wheels from Stutzman Wheel. Cannot say enough good things. Service was great and they look beautiful. Took a pole with the wife and kids and they want to leave them natural wood and not paint them. Can anyone recommend a varnish or sealer I should use on them? Thanks ...

Re: Repair wood wheels
Thank you to everybody for all of the great information. The spokes are shifting forward and backward in the rear rims about an inch or so (the felloe looks tight to the rim). Thank goodness I was doing my routine maintenance on the car and noticed the spokes leaning at an angle. The fronts look nic...

Repair wood wheels
Doing maintenance today and found that the rear wheels on my 1915 Touring are getting real loose. They have wood felloes with oval shaped spokes. I'm wondering if I should try to re-spoke them myself or, could anyone recommend a professional that could do the job and what a rough cost per wheel woul...
