Re: Ruckstell won’t shift
Which style of shifter is on it ? Lack of lubrication internally can cause that - how was it shifting prior to "locking" up ? Have you tried to "do the dance" between the low & reverse pedals at the same time ? Sometimes that will do it as that is the best way to shift sitting still. I don’t unders...

Ruckstell won’t shift
The ruckstell in my 25 Tudor is stuck. Not sure, but I think it’s stuck in high. I can’t move the shifter forward or backwards. What should I do first? Is there a easy fix for this?

Oil Question
I’m new to the model T world. Without getting into a big debate, I was wondering if anyone uses synthetic oil in their T? If so, what’s your opinion?

Re: Carburetor Problem
I’m not sure what kind of jet it has Keith. I did open the bowl drain John, it was dry. Yes I did tap the carburetor to try and free up the problem. So, do I take off the bowl? It’s a NH carburetor by the way. I’ve never had one apart before, not sure what I’m looking for.

Carburetor Problem
I bought a rebuilt carburetor about a month ago, the car has been running fine. Yesterday I wanted to take advantage of our nice Indiana weather and go for a ride, It wouldn’t start, I started checking things over, spark was good so I moved on to the fuel system. Took the line off at the both ends b...

Re: Ammeter question
So if the ammeter is on the battery circuit, if you run your car on mag, is the battery being charged? I start my car on battery then switch it to mag right away. Does the mag charge the battery?

Re: Charging Problem
Yes, I was working on the cooling system and my magnetic work light stuck on top of the cutout and closed the contacts. I was hoping it just fried the cutout, I guess I was wrong. Is there a way to check the generator in the car?

Charging Problem
I don’t think my generator is putting out, my ammeter barely moves when the car is running. Is there a way to check it without removing it? I installed a new cutout, and now it won’t charge. Do I have to flash it?

Re: Starting My T
With the engine off, should the coils buzz if you turn the key to mag? Mine doesn’t. It won’t start on mag. Like there is no spark. Is that normal? If not, how do I fix it? I can start it on battery and switch to mag and it runs better.

Re: What other Dumb thing did you do today?
Didn’t happen today, I was recently working on my 25 Tudor and my work light shorted the generator cutout, fried my ammeter wire. I replaced the wire, ammeter still works. I ordered a new cutout. I’m not sure about the generator, is there a chance of frying the wiring again if the generator is bad a...
