You are right Don. We have lost a great Model T person & friend. Steve had such a great knowledge of the Model T Ford. He was always willing to help & share his passion for the Model T.

Want opinions on new 30 X 3 1/2 tires
I would like some opinions on what make of 30 X 3 1/2 black wall tires to buy for my 1921 T coupe. I will probably need 1 or 2 tires to replace the ones that have cracks in the side walls. Thanks Scott

Re: Removing rear wheels
I got the 2 rear wheels off this afternoon. Last night I put some penetrating oil in the keyways of the hub/axle. I remembered that I had bought a heavy duty puller at Hershey years ago. The puller that I started with was a lighter one made by Mossberg. The heavier one has no name. Well two cracks w...

Removing rear wheels
I am trying to remove the rear wheels on my 1921 T coupe. One of the previous owners was a tool & die machinist. He was always trying to improve the way that parts fit. He had machined the tapered part of the axle & the inside part of the hub, they fit like a glove now. I have tried using my wheel p...

Re: Copper Head Gasket Re-Use??
An old car friend, now long gone, grew up in an era when money was really scarce. He once told me if you wanted to re use a copper head gasket, you should soak it in some water & then put it in the freezer over night. The following morning take it out of the freezer & let it dry. Then put a light co...

Re: OT: Briscoe
Hi Roger,
I own a 1917 Briscoe Model B424 touring car, which I bought in the fall of 1980. I have seen the caps painted black & some are nickle plated. I have a parts book & it tells which way they where supplied. I will dig the parts book out & confirm this.

Re: Commutator defect?
Sometimes small pieces of metal, get stuck between the metal case & insulating ring connection. Give the timer a good cleaning & check with a meter to see if you have a connection between the metal housing & the insulating ring number 1 connection. If you have a connection ,clean it again.
