To be clear
The video posted was not to prove or disprove anything.
As stated it was just for fun and to see what goes on inside.
The video looked to be a “winging it” type experiment. And yes if someone wanted to take a more precise approach the results may differ.

Looking for one in the classifieds but also talked to a friend of mine that’s a retired machinist.

Thanks again Dan! I guess I will sacrifice the part. :( But looking at the piece that is cut out I see a possibility to re-purpose it for a trans mount. It’s got that shape to it.

Just a "heads-up" - the starter switch installed in your photo is NOT a good reproduction - it might work a few times, but the button rivet usually comes from together & launches the button or gets stuck engaging the power - not a good scenario ! When I took the picture I thought to myself. “I wond...

I actually like the simplicity of the spacer. However to get it installed I believe it will require studs. The through bolts would need to be to long to be able to get them to fit into the holes.

Putting the round disk in place I realized it’s purpose. Giving just enough spacing so the brake equalizer doesn’t hit the transmission. Pump it full of grease for an oil seal.

Question#1
My crossmember bolts where carriage.
I assume when you have new wood under them they would sink in and grip good enough to tighten them. I could be wrong though. I had to cut all of them off because they were so rusted and the wood was rotted away.
