Hey welcome to the show! You joined the club and that’s the best resource you can have. Go to the car classifieds and pick out a T. There is pretty much every example to choose from. The input shaft difference F0-1 case has a removable input shaft that is about an inch longer to accommodate for the trans spacer. The bearing retainer that screws on to secure the bearing has a larger diameter due to the preload screws diameter difference. Then there is the bearing size difference....
The input bore on the F-1 case is a smaller diameter. This makes the preload collars different diameters and the input shaft bearing is taller but not as wide.
Received another chicago to try to build one out of two.
Some Notable differences. The black case is the F0-1 case and the rust colored one is the Patent’s pending F-1 case.
Found another parts transmission. Has a lot of great better than current parts. Should easily be able to build a solid trans out of the two. Thanks to Craig Leach! Not only did he find the transmission he disassembled it to inspect the internals. Disregarded anything unusable to drop shipping weight...

Your wife brought you a Model T home from a car show so you could have something to play with!?!?!?
That’s the most spectacular thing I have ever heard!
She deserves an award or something!
Welcome to Model T land
From spot welds to artificial insemination! Wow!
I disassembled a large amount of my 26 Tudor. Lots of spot welds in various places in the inner body structure.
Off topic in the Off topic I would think is fine. However Off topic in the On topic is not.
Common sense rules apply. Pretty simple.
As far as this particular topic I Find it very interesting. After all the internet is a key factor in holding this Forum together.

main input shaft. Zoom in for details! she has seen better days. Sad but true this hobby sometimes.
Looking for one in the classifieds but also talked to a friend of mine that’s a retired machinist.
He said “ I can make that”
Thanks again Dan! I guess I will sacrifice the part. But looking at the piece that is cut out I see a possibility to re-purpose it for a trans mount. It’s got that shape to it.
Just a "heads-up" - the starter switch installed in your photo is NOT a good reproduction - it might work a few times, but the button rivet usually comes from together & launches the button or gets stuck engaging the power - not a good scenario ! When I took the picture I thought to myself. “I wond...
I actually like the simplicity of the spacer. However to get it installed I believe it will require studs. The through bolts would need to be to long to be able to get them to fit into the holes.
Putting the round disk in place I realized it’s purpose. Giving just enough spacing so the brake equalizer doesn’t hit the transmission. Pump it full of grease for an oil seal.
Also looking for a source for a transmission mount/brace. It probably wouldn’t be to much different than a Warford set up. Or any pictures of such a thing.
Looking for parts for the Chicago mark-e auxiliary transmission.

Question#1
My crossmember bolts where carriage.
I assume when you have new wood under them they would sink in and grip good enough to tighten them. I could be wrong though. I had to cut all of them off because they were so rusted and the wood was rotted away.

Trying to fix up the exhaust pipe that came with the T. It’s still solid enough to work with. Looks old. Is it a possibility it’s an original or maybe an aged aftermarket? I am having a hard time reading what I believe are the bearing part numbers on your drawing.
Would you be able to list them for me if you get a chance?
I appreciate it and thanks!

Knocking around ideas in my head.
