A lot of speedsters run straight pipes and seem to have no problems. Too bad Humble Howard is not still around, but maybe one of his friends in CA can help out. Yep, my speedster has a 3 inch stove pipe exhaust in the rear with a damper and handle. To me I think it looks neat. It serves it's purpose.

Yesterday the weather was so beautiful that I was able to get the 19' Speedster out since October. After messing with the fuel line and dialing in the carb she was roaring to life. I had my wife with me and we managed to log a little over 65 miles for the day.

It's funny to see that beat down old T with that nice and fairly new looking radiator on it.

It may take everyone running out of spare gaskets in order to get the ball rolling on actually finding a solution to the manufacturing of new gaskets.

Just got a bulk order of parts in and now am coming up with a choke rod for the U&J so I don't have to have the wife hold the lever by hand every time we go to use it. She sure is supportive of the cause.

It is absolutely INCREDIBLE that these are able to flex the way that they do. Vehicles now couldn't dream of doing that. If they did there would be damage to them.

I finally got around to getting the 1919 registered. I tried to get a custom plate in order to honor my father but it wasn't available. Now to get the fuel tank painted and find some good Indy 500 stickers to put on it.

While you are waiting for parts you may be able to try it by taping around it. I would try scotch tape as it is thinner, you will need to adjust the module to compensate for the tape but if you can get it to stay on the shaft you should be able to try firing it up. Clean the points, set dwell to 50 degrees, replace condenser, check all plug terminals in the cap and coil. Stand that coil straight up to prevent over heating and mount on the firewall. Should go then!
