Re: New problem with my 22, looking for some advice

I agree with those who say ignition. Give the coils a bit of a gentle clean-up. Clean and lube the timer. Search the forum for timing adjustments. I had a similar issue with how mine was running. It wasn't terrible, but not as smooth as it should be. Cleaned things up and found my timing was a bit t...

Interesting Auction - T Parts

This upcoming auction has an interesting bunch of Model T parts. Might be something of interest to some of you. November 9th in Copeland, Kansas. Copeland looks to be in the southwest part of Kansas, near Dodge City.

Re: What have you done to your Model T in July?

Reattached the upper neck to my radiator and fixed about a dozen small leaks. Put it back on the truck and it performed perfectly. No leaks. At least for now. :) I have since painted it and it doesn't look half bad, considering that the upper neck was only held on by about an inch of brazing at the ...

Re: Does radiator cap need to be air tight?

The Model T radiator is not air tight. It is not pressurized like a modern radiator. In the picture below you can see a tube coming out of bottom of the upper tank. It sticks up inside that tank to a height just below the filler cap. If things get hot and bubbly in there any pressure that builds or ...

Re: If you own a Model T Ford why?

Robert Brough (Signsup) said it perfectly. If you are either anti-social or don't like to tinker and solve problems, then this is not the vehicle for you. I likely speak for most of us T owners when I say, those are the very things we get our enjoyment out of. Who doesn't like to see a hundred year ...

Re: TT Express Bed Floor

I wish that was my bed. My truck came off a farm without any bed. I am building a wooden grain/express bed for it.

What are these?

I am gradually working my way to restoring a '25 TT C-Cab from parts. This forum and the knowledge of the members has been critical in me figuring out what things are and how they fit together. In all of my parts I found these. Can anyone tell me what they are or if they are even part of this vehicl...

Trying to get my 25 TT back on the road. I began to create a wooden express bed. I'll post more pictures as it takes shape.

Re: A few body questions

Thanks Allan and Dennis for your tips. I was able to drive the hood rods out an inch or two with a pin punch. Vice grips, WD-40, allowed me to rotate them maybe a quarter turn back and forth. Slowly I was able to pull them out. I bought new ones. We'll see how it goes. It will take me a couple of we...

Re: A few body questions

Thanks to John and Norman for their advice and tips. I will certainly spend time getting fenders and brackets aligned. Taper punches are a great Idea. As to the hood, the panels are pretty straight and smooth. The hood rods rusted in somewhat solidly and someone likely opened and shut the hood, bend...

A few body questions

I have a few questions for the amazing knowledge pool on this forum. I recently inherited a 1925 TT C-Cab. However, it came mostly in parts. My welding, body work, and painting skills are being thoroughly tested. I am getting ready to test fit the cab, fenders, and hood prior to painting. I have a f...

Re: 1926 Model TT Height

Sounds like your TT project is at about the same state as mine. Finishing the cab and getting ready to put it back up on the frame. I have a C-Cab, but I know that both factory cabs are quite tall. Though I cannot answer your height question exactly, I can say that they will not fit in a standard 7'...

Re: Rewire supplies

If all of your electrical is standard, the looms are great. However, if you have any additions and you are handy with wiring, soldering, etc, you can make up your own. I found a source in Houston, TON'S Performance. I am not affiliated with this supplier, but I found that they offer very nice cloth ...

Re: Model T engine or transmission locked up.

I too am restoring a TT left that I inherited. The blessing of this forum is all of the great suggestions everyone is willing to throw at any problem encountered. My suggestion would be to try raising the rear wheels off the ground. Do your best to get the aux transmission in neutral. See if you can...
