JNO W BROWN MODEL 16 Glass Headlight Reflector R&R

We removed and replaced a headlight reflector for a Model 16 yesterday. I'll post the pictures here for general interest as I wasn't able to find clear photos of what the logo of an original glass reflector looked like. It's unfortunate that the existing reflector was so badly cracked all the way th...

NH Carb - But what year?

Hello,

We ran the 1914 T at the inlaws last weekend. We discovered even more parts.

Can anyone tell me what year was this NH is from?

It appears to be all steel and complete. The float works.

Any wisdom given much appreciated.

1906 - 1908 Aerocar

A friend sent me one of the pictures below, asked if it was a Model T. This led me on a search, so, file this under, " things I didn't know " The Aerocar is an American automobile that was built from 1906 until 1908 in Detroit, Michigan. Backed by Henry Ford's former partner, coal merchant Alexander...

Re: Any ideas what this is?

I'd like to add to Mike's thread. From the "What this is?" department I've been trying to locate in a supposed cache of T parts at a family storage location some headlight parts and a carbide generator. No such luck, but what I did find are the following, please see enclosed pictures, I assume they ...

Innards of JNO.W.Brown Model 16

Sorry for the "newbie" question. I would like to get the headlights of the family 1914 Model T functioning. I'm probably going to be looking for an original acetylene generator, but I'm waiting to hear back from a family member to see if one is still in a storage location. Several questions for the ...

Re: How to make a T radiator leak

On the 1914 Roadster I've been working on I noticed that the radiator mounting hole on the driver's side frame is perfectly centered on the frame "rail", but on the passenger side the hole is shifted outboard and just barely off center. Perhaps between 1/8 and a 1/16. The original radiator fit was f...

Re: Coil rebuild

All, It was a great Mother's Day. Got the 1914 Roadster running and driving and was able to drive my mother in law around the farm. The T hadn't been started since the 70's as far as I know. As of yet, we haven't used the electronic timer, I wanted to get it running as she was. My thanks to the Coil...

Re: Identify / Verify / Serial Numbers

John, Wayne, Rick and All, Thanks so much for the information. The paperwork is good and taken care of for this car thankfully. I appreciate the good food for thought. I just finished the fuel tank cleaning, that went really well. Looking forward to getting the NH non original carb back on. Of cours...

Re: Identify / Verify / Serial Numbers

I appreciate all the information! The car was restored by my wife's grandfather in late 54/early 55 and saw minimal use during the late 50's and 60's. The car has since passed through relatives families and as I understand it, was stored in a climate controlled basement since the early 70's and saw ...

Identify / Verify / Serial Numbers

Greetings Once Again, Our family managed to get some work done on our 1914 Roadster this past weekend. Restored coils were installed after cleaning and adjusting coil box contacts, checked, cleaned, and adjusted all wires and confirmed strong magneto output by having my son hold the spark plug. It ...

Re: Coil rebuild

I'd like to bring this thread back to the top. I agree with certain posters and I am a definite "do it all myself" kind of guy. That being said, this summer has been challenging in regards to my allowable time. When I opened up the box and saw Brent's work, and then put them on the ECCT and found th...

Re: Coil rebuild

Greetings, I'm new to the Model T world. I'm just getting started trying to get a family member's 1914 T Roadster running. Brent Mize has been kind enough to take on the coils that came with this vehicle and he has been extraordinarily patient answering many rookie questions. I look forward to seein...
