Wheel vs rim questions
My wheels are out getting new spokes. In the meantime my friend has leant me 3 wooden wheels (fouth is bored for rear, not front so I’m short one front). He also had 2 older Hayes metal spoke and 2 newer Hayes spoke wheels to use with my rim and tire. Issue is when I try to match them up the spacing...

When I say involved for Halloween check out the video I took. Manny’s family put out a donation box and visitors made a nice contribution to St Jude’s Children Hospital. Check out the Model T’s in the display.

Re: Who is Manny Kourounis?
I’m friends with Manny. Great guy who loves Model T’s. He gets very busy with Halloween decorating for the neighborhood kids and the take down project the next week so he hasn’t been as active. It was very kind of him to set up the Go Fund Me for Jeff.

Re: What did you do to your Model T in October
Painted the hubs and dropped my wheels off for new spokes at Calimers, painted the rims, replace the rear axel sleeves and seals. Looking into changing the oil in the Ruckstel- seems pretty thick to try to suck it out but will try. I’m in withdrawal not being able to take a drive until I get my whee...

Re: What have you done to your Model T in August?
Rebuilt Leakey carb, replaced sediment bowl valve and fuel line and installed a fuel filter. Next up is to replace stripped stud on coil box and replace the contacts in the coil box as soon as the parts arrive. Also replaced crummy spark plug wires and a new timer harness with proper routing and cli...

Re: Holly NH leaking gas
One thing I didn’t mention is that I turn off the sediment bowl shutoff valve every time I pull it in the garage (where it stays when not being driven). When my carb started leaking I found out my shutoff valve was not sealing either. I had to drain the gas tank as it would drip right out of the carb...

Re: Holly NH leaking gas
Joshua,
Had the same issue last week. I replaced my float valve and seat with the needle/viton model. I also tested the float in hot water and it bubbled so there was a leak even though when I shook it I couldn't hear ant fuel in it. Replaced the float also and it started right up with no leaks,

Re: Tar on top of coil question
Jim..... Txgoat has a good suggestion to check those items, especially with an analog continuance meter, to later trace the path of AC magneto voltage from the magneto straight through to the ignition switch, coils, and spark plugs..,.... Using a 12 volt battery often has destructive effects on bot...

Re: Tar on top of coil question
Jim ... Locally, is there someone in your Long Island chapter that could help you with your coils ? .... Overheated coil tar usually expands out the top opening of the primary coil under the vibrator. The glossy tar like smudges on top coil wood seem to be applied, not originating from internal Hot...

New to model T’s and have noticed some tar spots on top of 2 coils in my T. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Being a new owner of a 26 this will be my first trip to the swap meet. Not going to bring my T from Long Island. Not sure what to really expect, but thought it would be interesting and fun. Hoping for no rain.

Here are some pictures of how I mounted the bicycle lights on my 1926 Roadster. The front and rear wedges are 3-D printed with a curve to fit the fenders. They have recesses for the six magnets, three to attach to the fender and three to attach the light to the wedge. I will be attaching cloth to t...
