Made some door panels and other interior panels ('26 Coupe). Here's the ugly side.
That's actual panel board, not cardboard.
We plan on coating the inside with something more water resistant.

Saturday the 24th, drove the Model T for the first time that it's been driven in decades, only 14 feet forward but it moved on it's own power.
Sunday I tried to move it out of the garage (door now open) but the starter switch died.

I used stainless steel hand rail and a stainless steel paper towel dispenser from a rest room to weld up my own muffler and exhaust in the shape it should be for a late 26 coupe. It will outlive the car and me.

Yes, doing it ourselves! We bought grey "duck" cloth, sewed in green lines, upholstered the seat back & lower. I've read about people using all kinds of things from aluminum, modern panel board, to plastic.
The package tray was cloth on steel or wood board. But what about the sides?

The radiator shop told me that if I needed to cut the intake tube shorter that they had a tool to put the bead roll back in the end of the tube to accept a hose.
I'm looking forward to seeing the other parts.

Early this morning noticed that the tack welds on the steel front seat frame lost two bonds on the left side which were put on years ago. So, finally laid four feet of bead around the inside of the thing.

Put the key in the ignition with the wife present and recording video and turned it to BAT for the first time in decades.
The engine immediately lurched forward. Almost a free start. We could not get it started but it kicked a lot and we're excited.

Put gas in tank and it did not leak. Opened flow valve and it worked. Bent fuel line and installed. Opened valve and it ran to carb. Today - installed steering column w/o center shaft, connected three brackets, made wood block.
Disassembled horn button, paint, ran new wires, installed, horn works.
Installed sediment bowl.
Filled oil, first time in decades.
Painted coolant tube and choke rod.

Installed the (2) B-pillar inserts. Disassembled the dash light to solder on a replacement wire, assembled, and wired to ammeter. Made all 12 standoffs for the B pillars. Two of the lower D pem nuts also had to be fabricated.
Riveted the cowl lacing.
Riveted the four gas tank cloth bands and mounted gas tank.
Installed Dash and then instrument cluster.

Wired up the front and rear lights with separate grounds.
Ran the lace thru the radiator shell.
Finished two months of prepping the gas tank. Did not realize that it is 9.6 gallons.

It's a 100 footer.
I looked for steel replacement fenders and never found any. So, we patched up what we had.

Straightened the plate. Wire brushed the inside of the tank pieces. Even - Odd number of tubes, can only go on one way. Tapped down in place Expanded the tubes for a tight solder fit. Installed the Timer, Fan hub, and new Belt.
Replaced the Dodge fan with a new Model T fan.
Not gonna claim the Radiator until it's done and good.

1) Filed the tubes on the left, right side is untouched. 2) Wire wheeled the paint off the tank. Sweated off the brackets (left and right are different). Obviously, there are two rows, saw that before I cut it. Only removing the bottom tank to do all the work and leaving the top tank on untouched. The two mounting brackets have a "left" and a "right" since the bolt hole shifts away from the inlet and outlet pipes. It looks like somebody has worked on...

There are flat tubes but does not say "Ford" anywhere on it. Maybe someone may want to try to identify what this really is (besides scrap).

I saw that spacers would indeed leave a gap between the shelf and the hood.

I could dimple up 3/4" on the lower tank but it looks too restrictive for coolant flow.

Awesome replies. John, In one of the older posts, tried to raise the two side brackets but the hand crank is in the way. Cannot lower it. Bent the fins down all the way across to mark 3/4" that will have to get removed. Cut the tiny welds on the steel side brackets. I mean...even if this fails, don'...

Tonight I matched up the length of the hood to the shell they are the same size best I can tell. I have other photos and I think there is a countersunk hole just above the notch, will check in the morning to confirm. However, there is no bracket on the radiator to even use this hole. Great post! Which describes the high shell as 16 to 16-1/4" to the bead below the Ford script.
I measure just over 16" so the shell is correct. Problem is the radiator.

I'm told the radiator is not original. The core should be 18-3/8" but measures 18-7/8"...or 1/2" too tall. The gap between the the two brackets is 1 inch. So, the top tank may be too tall OR the brackets on the radiator are set too low. These things can be fixed with a re-core or modifying the tank ...

I mocked up the radiator and there is 3/8" clearance. Totally don't know the speck. Rotated the fan by crankshaft and nothing hits. I could purchase the fan to make it correct but not sure if a stock fan will stick out more than this one.

It is the pulley that came with our Model T.
No. I have not tried it with my radiator.
The radiator that was on it was stolen for scrap before I bought it.

Our "New Day Timer" says "no oiling".
I'm assuming that is still true by today's standards.

So, I purchased some parts from the vendors for the day timer with a bushing. I greased the felt to help stop leaking? The pin would not go into camshaft hole unless I screwed down the nut some. I have a car dolly but cannot use it for the T.
If I haul it nose first then the transmission may seize up.
If I haul it tail first then the front bearings may seize up.

Since I added a battery cut off, felt the need to make another SS battery cable bracket, not yet painted.
